Interviewed Mar 2010 in Herndon, VA (took a day)
Excellent interview process other than seemingly frequent miscommunication between the recruiter and the panel coordinator managing the interview process. Great people. Very experienced and smart. It would have been a great opportunity.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Herndon, VA (took a day)
I submitted my resume online and was contacted by one of their recruiters to come in a invitation only career day at their location in Herndon. As, I went there, I was seated in a large room with several other candidates seating on different tables. Two interviewers would come in and sit with each candidate for about half and hour and leave. This lasted for two hours with three teams interviewing me with some gap in between. As for the interview experience, it seemed not at all relevant to the position applied. Although, I have more of a mobile application development experience, I was interviewed by teams needing database programmers and web developers. What a complete waste of time.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Herndon, VA (took 1 week)
I got the interview through a company referral. The next day (literally) I got a call for an interview, which consisted first of a very easy phone screen and then after that I had a series of 1-1 interviews, and a group interview. The questions were incredibly easy - basically just asked me about my experience and background. I think I did a good job of steering the conversation, but midway through it was apparent they were just selling the company. About two hours after the interview, I got a call with a preliminary offer.

Negotiation Details
I got what I asked for, which was on the high side. I think you need to have a good sense of what you're worth and stand firm. The recruiter tried to low ball me a few times, but I stayed firm and got what I wanted.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Group/Panel Interview.

Interviewed Jul 2007 in Herndon, VA (took 3 weeks)
Interview process was thorough. Had initial interview when recruiter called to offer job opportunity at Booz Allen Hamilton. We discussed the company, the position, and my current salary. Follow up calls was for personal details for the background check. Had the 1-to-1 interview with the hiring manager, project manager, and the technical lead on the project. The interview went very well and I knew I would get the job. I became restless after a week of no response from the recruiter about whether I got the job or not. I learnt finally that the background check usually took longer and without that, no decision could be made. I got my offer letter 2-days before the scheduled start date.
Negotiation Details
I had no negotiation power since I was more interested in leaving my previous company.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Herndon, VA (took 4+ weeks)
I applied through on-campus university recruiting. At 9:30PM on the night prior to first round interviews the university recruiter called me to schedule an interview for the following morning. This contact took place nearly a week after the date recruiters gave to us as the notification date.
Finals rounds took place in a corporate office in Virginia. Again, I learned the recruiters misspoke about the recruiting process. I had anticipated 5 30-minute interviews, but all interviewees received just two, which were closer to 20/25 minutes in length. Some interviewers interviewed just graduate students and others interviewed just undergraduates.
The behavioral questions lasted for just a few minutes, at which point interviewees were given control of the interview. This happened in my previous interview as well, so I hypothesized BAH places an emphasis on candidate interest or ability to connect with others.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Herndon, VA (took a day)
The interview first consisted of a quick phone conversation to discuss location and salary range. The company flew me to DC a week later for a marathon of interviews with different teams. At the end of the interview session, I was asked to rank the teams in order of preference. I was told a few days later that I did very well and would receive an offer. When the offer never came, I called to inquire and I was told that the contract had been pulled.

Interviewed Apr 2009 in Herndon, VA (took 5 weeks)
Booz takes a very long time to get you in the door for an interview. There was four individual interviews. All very laid back. Every one I met was very nice and the focus of the interviews was on the personality. They want to make sure that you will fit in with the organization and that you can plice nice. They don't want people that are very aggressive about the career. They want people that will work hard but aren't concerned with rapid progression through their career.

Interviewed Jun 2008 in Herndon, VA (took 1 week)
The interview process started with my information being submitted to Booz Allen's website via employee referral. I was then contacted via phone and asked preliminary questions; i.e. experience, intended position, etc. From there, I was scheduled for a panel interview with an H.R. person and three people from the prospective area I would be joining. The H.R. person went over basics of Booz Allen, the various programs and benefits, asked my salary requirements, etc. The panel covered three areas; perceived ability to be a consultant, technical interview, and what is termed "close and sell". The last I felt was to bring out my ability to handle various situations and find my comfort level with the firm. It all went fairly smoothly and was well coordinated.

Negotiation Details
From my experience and from what I have heard from others, there is not much negotiating with Booz Allen. The firm gets thousands of applications and can pick and choose from them. If you get an offer, it will most likely be competative as far as salaries. However, I have heard that other companies may pay a bit (not a lot) more. However, Booz Allen also makes a significant contribution to your retirement/401(k) (after 1 year of employment) without you having to put in anything. Vacation is set by what level you are hired at and how many years you are with the firm. Again, not much negotiable. You either take it or leave it from what I heard and experienced.
