Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 2 days)
I got the interview through a recruiting event and did therefore not go through the normal application process.
1. Round:
The first round consisted of two personal interviews and a analytical test. The interviewing consultants were fairly junior but still challenging interview partners. The interviews itself consisted of a personal part and the ubiquitous case study. While the case study followed the usual pattern, the personal part felt different from comparable firms: You were asked about a situation in which you faced a difficult situation in a team, convinced people, etc. . During the following discussion the interviewers picked out a statement about me, amplified it to a untruthful degree and played it back at me. E.g., after I said that in teams I care about the work could be as it could be, I was described as perdantic. I felt this to be very uncomfortable and this tactics was what ultimately got be kicked out int the second round.
The analytical test was not too difficult and more a logic exercise. We were allowed calculators so that the numeris were really easy.
I got a call on the same day of the interview inviting me to the second round.
2. Round:
The second round consisted of three interviews and BCG Real Life. The interviews followed the same pattern as before, BCG Real Life is supposed to be a simulation of consultant life, i.e. client interaction and analysis.

Interviewed Feb 2009 (took 1 week)
Basic consulting interviews
Two 1:1 case interviews - On campus
Three 1:1 case interviews - At the office
The case interviews are very standard fare. Make sure you do many many mock interviews before doing the real thing. Very few people can wing it. There are a number of books out to help you practice putting together a structure. These are helpful. i strongly believe the hardest part of the interview is structuring the problem up-front, so the books can help you here. As is anything all it take is practice. It will show in your presentation skills.
The second round interviews are very similar to the first with the exception that they are conducted by partners. Partners tend to be much more loose with the cases they give, which means you are likely to get someone unconventional questions. The interview is not necessarily harder, but it is a little bit more nerve racking.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Washington, DC (took a day)
Tough but manageable cases. Very dependent on the mood of your interviewer. Even if you ace all the cases, if one interviewer doesn't LOVE you you will not get an offer (words direct from the HR Director). Seems arbitrary, but they have had a lot of success in the past so who are we to question their methods. Do LOTS of case prep and know your behavioral answers cold before you go in.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 7+ weeks)
Had 3 rounds of interview, with 2 interviews in each round, and with people with ascending seniority ( Consultant -> Principal -> Partner) Format was that of a standard consulting case interview. 10min fit + 30 min case. Different interviewers had different style, some were friendly whereas some were straight face and showed no emotions. Actually, the more senior the interviewer the less feedback you had by reading expressions in the interview process

Interviewed Oct 2011 in New York, NY (took 1 week)
I applied, then got invited to two social/networking events before interview. Had 2 30min interviews with mid-level consultants. One seemed bored/tired--> didn't click. Rapport with the other one was much better. Cases: how to increase profits for pharma company (reduce number of drugs advancing to pahse 2 trials), should financial asset mngmt compnay enter China.
Overall, very good experience, communications were very professional and courteous, felt like they cared for the success of the interviewees, very relaxed, very conversational interviews.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Boston, MA (took 3 weeks)
I passed round 1 (which consisted of two case interviews with Consultants). The interviews were on Monday and on Wednesday they called me and said that I got into the final round. However, this was scheduled already for Friday, so I did not have much time to prepare. The final round consisted of three interviews with Partners. I did not pass one of those three interviews (I was told that I needed too much guidance), so I did not get the offer... Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The only downside was the short amount of time that I had to prepare for the final round...

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
Everyone at BCG was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. Getting to the interview stage depended primarily on your resume and ability to make a connection with a representative at the information sessions. The info session is the first step--don't miss it. The interview itself was two case interviews with two different BCG people. I would advise focusing on sharpening your business vocabulary, reading business newspapers, and practicing some cases (don't go overboard here). The cases are not all that matters. You also need to interact well with the interviewer and demonstrate your understanding of the business world.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 3 weeks)
2, 45 minute interviews with principles in the IT and Public Sector practices. Was grilled quite intensely on my decision to shift from strategic planning consultancy to commercial consulting. First case involed a P&L for a mortgage company, with basic quants, and a discussion on potential future sale and ownership structures. Second case format was Mckinsey style from ex-Mckinsey consultant and was very qualitative.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Amsterdam (Netherlands) (took 4+ weeks)
First round of interview consisted of three interviews.
Two had one case interview each and one behavioral and lasted for one hour each.
Second was an online test with a case for forty five minutes. I had to solve twenty three questions in this duration.
It was a nice experience and more of a discussion.
