Interviewed Aug 2011 in Denver, CO (took 3 months)
After 6 individual interview sessions, meeting with a total of 11 people (including the CFO and Chief Council), Boston Market went oddly silent on me. Very unprofessional to have someone go through so many interviews and then just disappear.
They were looking for something very unique and peculiar, a hybrid of sorts combing several positions into one. I could understand the multitude of interviews, but can't understand the lack of follow-up after the 11th interview.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Glenview, IL (took a day)
I applied online via snagajob, got a call to get interviewed a week later...
The interviewer was just one manager guy who surprisingly was honest and we talked and I answered a few questions bluntly for him. He said that he was looking for a social and outgoing people who could start conversations, smile and all that jazz as Boston Market was changing their policy. So instead of training one of the existing employers, he was going to take the easy way out and hire a friendly one. When I walked in I could understand his position because the servers were like very shy and old dogs that just served the food and barely made eye contact with the people.
He asked if I could do all the outgoing things, and he told me to be honest so that we both wouldn't wasting each other's time... I told him no, I was the quiet reserved type and he realized that as I was quieter then his appearantly...
He asked "Tell me about yourself" And I responded bluntly and truthfully..
Nice position to apply to if you're outgoing, not so much for my silent type.

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
The advertisements posted for this job are less than forthcoming as to the true nature of this work. The website says catering drivers can earn up to $25 an hour. It's made to sound at least to be steady, part-time work.
I called and emailed Boston Market's headquarters in Denver, CO to complain, and since none of them cared to get back with me I am posting this for the general public, so you don't get burned.
When I was at the interview, Amy the hiring manager who I met in Lake Mary, FL today told me:
1) I could possibly go weeks without being asked to do a delivery.
2) That she had no average or potential median of what I could expect to earn, no range on how many hours I could work, if any.
I commented that I couldn't count on this in any way then. She agreed. I said I wished she would have told me this instead of having me go over there. I could sense that this is not what she wanted to hear. Maybe I should have said "Great, I love to not know when I can earn an income! How do I get started!"
What they are offering is not work, they are mini, tiny projects, if any; that can't be counted on. That's how it should be advertised because that's the way it was presented to me at the interview.
I ask any one of the employees in Boston Market's HR, if not advised otherwise, would any of you have been satisfied at your interviews or be at your desks today if Corporate told you that you would be given no information on when or how long you would be working each week? A rough forecast on what you can expect to earn? What if they said, don't expect to work at all? Would you consider this a legitimate opportunity? I should have been advised of this before I went there.
I'm also upset that I received a decline email from Boston Market *minutes after I left there. I'm a true bona-fide, excellent work partner, but I don't appreciate being misled.
Because this is not good; considering the cost of gasoline, and the loss of other income, to speak with your company about a job that isn't really a job at all.
Reason for Declining
Because it's not real work.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took 2 days)
Overall it was a good interview process. Started by filling out online app and finishing with several one on one and group interviews. The office was recently remodeled so there were all new cubes and what seemed to be newer PC's. Work culture seemed pretty relaxed with business casual attire.

Interviewed Feb 2007 (took 3 days)
I was referred by a friend who worked for the company. I submitted an application and resume. I was called and set-up an interview with the district manager a couple of days later. As soon as I sat down with him he mentioned my military experience. As I began to discuss the military, he then cut me off and told me that they did not hire veterans because they have psychological issues and just end up quitting and being fired, but explained that I could finish the interview and take all their tests. What a waste of time. This guy was very rude and disrespectful.
