Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 3 months)
As stated on many other reviews, The interview process is quite extensive. 1st, I met with the two head district guys. 2nd, I was asked to spend an entire work day with another D.E. 3rd, I had to come in for a computerized personality test. 4th, I had another 1:1 interview. 5th, I was asked to fill an application. After all this, I had to wait another 2 weeks to find out if I got the job out of 4 candidates.
If you're just starting this process, you need to fully understand the job (yes, you WILL have to wear a uniform). You need to ask yourself if you're willing to put yourself through the anguish of a 3 month hiring process just to be rejected or told that your record will be kept on file for future consideration. As qualified as I am, and as nice and easy going as they were, I thought I had the job. After all the buildup and trust building between myself and the interviewers, I was "rejected" via a paper letter that beat around the bush without directly saying that they decided on someone else.

Other Details
I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test, a Skills Test, a Personality Test and a Background Check.
