    Application

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Brandeis University.

    Interview

Very casual and enjoyable, distinctly aimed at identifying good fits to the program and competent scientists. Felt like more of a 'get to know you' day than a formal interview. The dinner that evening also felt like it was aimed at getting a feel for how you as a student would fit into the program.

I applied in-person. The process took a weekinterviewed at Brandeis University.

    Interview

First give a behavioral interview and then process to an online test. The behavioral questions are about your basic mathematical intuition and may be give you a tiny case to solve. However, the online test seems very strict. I believed I finished them all correctly however I still did not meet the minimum requirement.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Brandeis University (Waltham, MA) in June 2011.

    Interview

Was first contacted by email to setup a phone screen. Went through this process and a month later was contacted for in-person interview. This went well with individual and panel interviews. Was then contacted for a second in-person a couple weeks later. Went through all that and then waited over 2 weeks. No response from the department either way. This was the worst part; not knowing. Seems disrespectful and callous to put someone through this process and then offer no response at all.
