Interviewed Jun 2011 in La Jolla, CA (took a day)
I filled out an application online and was contacted by the recruitment center within two days by email to set up a phone interview. After the phone interview, my information was passed on to the director of the nearest hiring center. That center contacted me within a week to make an in person, 2:1 interview. I really wanted to work for this company and spent a lot of time reading up on their philosophies and mission statements, but neither of those areas were discussed in the interview. After the interview, I never heard back from anyone at this company ever again.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took 2 weeks)
After the online application, I was contacted by a recruiter. I was asked about my experience and resume. Then I was asked where I would like to work and how much I was looking to get paid. Then I had a one on one interview with the director, where I was asked about my experience and education. Some questions were how would you deal with a "bad" coworker, disgruntled parent, temper tantrum, and other situational questions. Also, I was asked how I come up with lessons or unit plans and how I document growth and development and for these I answered that my philosophy is child-centered learning and I used informal and formative assessment for evaluation. There is also a working interview for about an hour,in which you should demonstrate an ability to connect with the children and OTHER TEACHER :)

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took a day)
To get a position at this company, you must first apply online and then talk with a recruiter. They will ask you basic questions and background information. they will then set up an initial 1:1 interview. Most of the questions are (Give me an example of how you would act in a certain situation). Be sure to have real life experiences demonstrating how you have dealt with situations in the past. After the initial 1:1 interview, you will most likely have an interview with the Director. It mostly consists of the SAME questions as before. I think to be sure you will answer in the same way.

Interviewed Jul 2010 (took 3 days)
*Arrived, met the Director , filled out background check and references
*Spent time in serveral classrooms
*Had 1:1 interview where MANY questions were asked, all relevant to the position. Mainly hypothetical scenarios and how I would respond
*Dialogue about the school, it's needs, and details about the position
*Left the interview confident, as they just wanted to check my references and background check

Didn't try, knew the pay and benefits were above average after interviewing at several schools. We make no money in this field, as I have worked for quite a few schools and have made half of what I make at BH. People who complain about the pay probably haven't worked at other centers.
