Interviewed Sep 2011 in New York, NY (took 4+ weeks)
I had been interviewing with the well known company, Brooks Brothers, since April 2011.
Unfortunately, I never got an offer after because it was not what they were looking for. Hence, I was called again for a different position in July 2011 which similarly ended with the same exact feedback. "You're not a fit for the position." I ask myself, I have the experience, what is the problem? Everyone company runs a little different and perhaps not similar to your taste, but why not give an opportunity? I guess myself and my previous employers were perhaps not there standards of expertise.
I had overall three interviews in a spam of a month with three different employees. I honestly feel if by the second interview you concluded that the prospective employee is not a fit then don't make them come in for a third interview to be humiliated and overall feel like your knowledge is being stomped. I think it would be fair for everyone and especially my pockets. Ironically, they will tell you how they are not testing you, but they do with there questions. I am not imposing that Brooks Brothers should not be cautious of whom to extend an offer to, but give people an opportunity.
Lastly, I won't be soliciting employment from Brooks Brothers ever again.
And, I just forewarn that you will wait sometime before you ever become accepted or declined.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Seattle, WA (took 2+ weeks)
I walked in to drop off my application and was told to fill out an application. When I handed it in to the manager, she asked what brought me to Brooks Brothers and suggested that I call back at the end of the week. We had a very brief one-on-one interview the following week and scheduled a panel interview for a couple days later. The panel interview took around an hour and I was asked about my strengths, weaknesses, past experiences, and knowledge of Brooks Brothers (found in the About Us section on the website). I sent a thank you email after leaving and I was called in for a shadowing experience a few days later. I talked with the manager again for a little while and then shadowed/talked with a sales associate for around an hour. My last interview was the next week and it was a phone interview with one of the regional directors.
There are several steps to the interview process and it took more than two weeks but aside from it being an opportunity for BB to learn all about you, the process gives you a very detailed feel for the environment you'll be working in.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took a day)
I walked into a store in my town and they had me fill out an application form on the spot. I gave to the store manager who suggested I follow up the next week. I called and she said that while she had no openings at her store, she was aware of an opening in a nearby location and would be happy to give the name of the manager and have me call. I did and set up an interview in the next couple of days. I went to the store and met the store manager for around 30 minutes. I expressed interest in the position but never heard back from them. I chose not to follow-up, either.

Interviewed Sep 2008 (took 4 days)
Typical HR lackey first then a phone interview with higher up HR lackey. On site with hiring supervisor who asked general experience questions and answered my questions afterward. They were not overly forthcoming. Next round was a panel, two of three people showed up...normal interview questions again about experience etc.. Third round was with Sr. VP who just wanted to meet and discuss what else....experience.
Negotiation Details
They were structured. They did not give in to any requests. They stated if they make an exception for me then that would not be fair to everyone else.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and a Background Check.
