Interviewed Jun 2010 in Austin, TX (took 2 days)
We sat down in an office right off of the production floor so I caught a glimpse of what was going on. It was a 2:1 interview with a member of HR and the production manager. They asked me a series of questions about my current job (likes and dislikes), and the type of environment where I thought I could be successful. They asked some hard, yet fair, questions about my motivation and why I wanted a position with the company. They were easy-going and easy to talk to.
I was called back in less than 48 hours and offered the position. They were more than willing to wait the two weeks I had requested so I could gracefully leave my current employer. Low stress all the way.

The interviewer was extremely brief and emotionless. He was somewhat rude and not at all personable.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Austin, TX (took 3 days)
The hiring manager was extremely friendly and did an initial screen over the phone. I was invited to a casual lunch interview with the Marketing Director, and we discussed the company, the role, and our backgrounds. It went well and I was invited back to tour the office and to discuss my past experience in relation to this new position. There was a few case study questions along with a very detailed explanation of the daily role tasks. It seemed apparent the biggest factor in landing the job was my fit with the company values, and my interest in the position.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Austin, TX (took 4+ weeks)
The only reason it took so long was the founder tries to meet all potential employees and we had to mix and match our schedules. It started with an application of my resume and a cover letter. I then had a phone interview with a current intern, there were some case questions and stuff like that. Took about an hour. I was prepared and nothing caught me by surprise. Then, I got an email inviting me to the next stage, which was interviewing with the founder. That round involved him asking about my background and what I wanted to get from the position. I'd say be honest, don't give a canned answer. Tell him exactly what you want to do. About a week later I got the call with the offer.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Austin, TX (took 4 days)
I was originally contacted by the Lead Front-End Developer through email. That was followed by two phone interviews. Those went well so they called me in for an in person interview, then received an offer that day. The interview process was very smooth and speedy.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Austin, TX (took 3 days)
The process was very easy to progress through. I did 1 phone interview and 2 face-to-face interviews. The typing test is very simple to complete - practice before hand if you haven't typed in the past. The culture appeared to be very open with a huge amount of emphasis being on customer experience.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took 2 days)
This interview process with this company was great. The initial phone interview was completed very well and left me with great information on the company and department. Then the in-person interviews were relaxed and very well structured. The management and staff seem to be very involved in the company and seem to enjoy working there. Environment seemed relaxed but fast-paced.
Reason for Declining
The offer would not have been enough

Interviewed May 2011 (took 4 days)
Phone interview went great. Went in for an interview with HR manager and sales manager. I felt like they had a good cop / bad cop role play going on. The HR manager seemed a little too intense for the laid-back culture and vibe the sales manager was trying to sell.
Interview lasted an hour.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Austin, TX (took 3 weeks)
My first contact consisted of a phone interview in which the hiring manager was the only one on the phone (or so I thought since he did not introduce anyone else). During my second panel interview with four people the supervisor let it slip that others were listening during my first interview. I thought this was very unprofessional. I also had to sign a non-confidentiality agreement even before the second interview. All of the questions they had for me were about my other positions at large corporations and how they did things. It seemed like that was the only reason why I was interviewed. I also didn't like the fact that on the panel were people that the position would supervise. When I asked how long the last person held the position and what were the positives/negatives that they wanted changed, their response was that the last employee only held that position for 6 months. I had a red flag right then.
I heard back several days later that they wanted me to complete a skills test. I had no problem with that except they wanted a redesign of their homepage within 48 hrs. as well as a critique of two e-commerce sites. I reluctantly did the work-I did not do my best as at that point I decided that even if they offered me the job I would not accept. Not having key information about a company and their product will not produce an effective redesign. There test was ineffective and ridiculous. You should not be required to actually produce work for a company before you are hired. A skills test should be hypothetical.
I thought that the practice of signing a non-disclosure agreement and then wanting you to violate any privacy of other companies to get a job was unethical. The place was a sty and 40 people were in the room the size of a conference room working so close together that you could bump into someone just by writing. The receptionist was in the hallway and I bumped into her on walking in the door. Cooking utensils were in the bathroom!
I have no idea why this company keeps getting voted as the best place to work in Austin. This was not a professional environment at all.
