Interviewed Aug 2011 in Apeldoorn (Netherlands) (took a day)
The Group HR Director flew in to head the interviews with himself and a HR Generalist. Appointment was made for me - when I showed up: (1) I ran into the previous interviewee for the role - very unprofessional to leave a bit of space and (2) at first they had no idea I would be there for an interview despite having made the appointment themselves.
Utterly unprofessional, the level of interviewing was as if it were for a junior HR team member. They spent time reviewing the company, but then rolling their eyes about some of the processes they described. When questions were asked, particularly probing questions that would indicate issues within the organization, they would look at each other and giggle. It was unprofessional and absurd. The HR Generalist just sat there and giggled the majority of the time, and then asked one question regarding how I'd handle people in my team that weren't really interested in development (with her behavior, that led me to some pretty bad conclusions).
The interview was meant to be 45min but went about 50, and on the way out the Generalist remarked about how much it went over (???)! I left thinking it was the most unprofessional interview I've had in a really long time and hoping for a rejection. I didn't need to worry - they didn't even do candidates the courtesy of rejecting them at all. Just nothing.
Edit: after 1.5 months they came back! Not even asking me for my feedback but just sending me an invite to the next round and telling me when I needed to show up - and also mentioning the date/time was non-negotiable. This further solidifies this company as one of the truly most unprofessional (at least their HR dept) that I have ever seen!

Interviewed Sep 2008 in Lille (France) (took a day)
I was interviewed by both the local and the regional representatives. I was basically asked to describe my background experiences and education, as well as reacting to the plan for a possible internship.
Since they were looking for someone to do both technical and business type work, it worked out fine.

It is an interview conducted by HR department. So, they will not ask too much about the technical knowledge at this stage. Overall, the questions was quite general.
