Interviewed Mar 2012 in Burlington, NJ (took 2 weeks)
I had a phone interview and in person interview. Recruiter was nice enough but the hiring manager really stuck out.
I've worked with and met other employee's who give a vibe that they don't care about their job and this one really stuck out as that. She was late for the interview then scoots in late as we were turned around. And when I'm standing outside her office she then walks out again leaving the hr person had to go find her. She eventually comes back and is not prepared in the slightest. She didn't even look at my resume. First question was "so what do you do." and the rest was her glancing at her computer monitor or looking at her phone. Just unprofessional to get from a director level.
I sent a thank you letter because I'm a halfway decent human being and got no response for that. No response for the follow up either. Still waiting. Just totally unprofessional in every way imaginable.

The first time I went to interview with the store manager where I made ??couple of questions from my last job. After I get the result of background I went to a second interview with the assistant manager in which he explained that it was my job to finish the delivery of documents. Interviewed Oct 2011 in Egg Harbor City, NJ (took a day)
The manager that hired me i could barely understand because of his thick Indian accent, so half the time i didn't know what he was saying. He basically asked me about my last job, and what times i would be available. The interview was only about 15 mins. I wanted to work two jobs and wasn't available enough so i didnt get hired. He didn't ask any interview questions at all.

filled out an application in store. was called in for an interview about a week later. came in the following business day. the interview process was fairly simple: general questions about previous employment, transportation on getting to and from, any possible overlapping schedules, and salary.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Bronx, NY (took 3 weeks)
Burlington coat factory was having a job fair on january 23, I went to apply with my resume once you pass that 1st interview you get to move on to the next interview. The next interview was on february 6, there was alot of people there. once you complete an application, you have to wait till your name is called to be interview. All the people i meet there seem to be very nice so overall my experience with the HR staff was pleasant. During the interview they asked about your experience prior to the position your applying to. They asked about your schedule and why do you want to work for BCF. The interview lasted about 20 minutes, they thank you for coming in and expect to hear back from them within 2 weeks. However i received a call back 3 days after my interview letting me know i have been chosen for the position which i applied for and its up to me to take it if i still want it. I said yes and now i have to go into the workforce location they proovide once you accept their job offer, i guess to fill out paper work and to make schedules for everyone. Salary will be discuss at this particular time as well so i can't say what i will be making yet b/c i don't know. I will accept no lower than 9per hr due to i have prior cashier experience. Hopefully they will agree. Overall the interview experince isn't stressful so be yourself and talk about how you love helping customers and you will do fine. Good luck to all.... =)

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 1 week)
This was a fairly easy interview. Talked about myself and why I wanted to work there and of my work experience. After that, I got a phone call at home about 3 days later, checking to see if I got an email about a background check and and took it the test online. A few days later I got a call again saying that I was hired and to be ready to work in about 1-2 weeks, which gave me enough time to get some work attire.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 2 days)
The store manager called me and we set up an interview. It went very well. Showed me around the store and we discussed the needs for the store. Next step was with the HR person. That also went well. I found out that they do not want to pay for experienced people. And they tend to have a high turnover due to work load compared to pay.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Turnersville, NJ (took 1 week)
The process to get the interview was very quick and easy. I applied online and a few days later the HR lady emailed me about setting up an interview. It took a few days for her to get back to me. When I went to interview there were 2 other people there and after about 15 minutes 2 others showed up. My interview was for 11am and I didn't get called back til 12pm. Apparently they scheduled 6 people for an interview at 11am. Which I found to be very inappropriate and disorganized. The interview itself was very basic. She asked about previous work experience and what kinds of product have I merchandised before. I did feel like the interview was a little rushed and this was probably because they had made the mistake of scheduling so many people for the same time.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Cleveland, OH (took 2+ weeks)
The hiring process is very generic, I was all prepared to get grilled and it seemed like they just wanted to know I could merchandise. Interestingly enough, this company is way more operational broken due to old and antiquated processes and they were worried about a merchant! The manager and HR was very nice and very simple. It was an easy process, took a long time to hear back. That seemed weird.

Negotiation Details
Negotiation was as is, no further opportunity to negotiate. Not sure how long I will stay since they are well below other retailers on pay scale. They don't seem to care about that and said they'll look into it, which means they won't Turn seems high in these roles.
