Interview Details – I first talked to the company at a career fair at my school. I was then contacted over the phone and they showed an interest. At that time, they asked some general screening question just to verify that you were a viable candidate. After that, I set up an on-site interview where I was interviewed by a panel of about 5 or 6 directors within the department and they were very laid back. Everyone was very friendly throughout the process and I heard back within 3 weeks of the interview. I've heard of others having multiple rounds so the process may vary but I believe they are all somewhat similar.
Interview Question – There was nothing that really caught me off guard. It was primarily me talking to them about my resume and whatever follow-up questions they may have had. Answer Question

Interview Details – I went to a career fair hosted at the department of labor in my county. I had two interviews. it seemed you had to do well in the first interview to get to the second one. the interviewer noted that I was dressed up and asked what I was looking for in terms of a job. I told her that I wanted to grow with the company. I don't remember what the second interviewer asked but I do remember my answers: that I wanted to grow with the company and that I would be willing to do any job no matter how small or outside my job description it seemed.

Interview Details – Was contacted by their field recruiter which in turn forwarded my information to the Regional HR Manager. Set Interview date with the entire Regional Team ( Regional-HR-Merchandising-Operations-Vice President ). Overall was great or so I thought. 1 week later I was contacted by the RHRM to meet the Store Manager and Regional Ops Mgr. Went in, walked the location, gave DM notes/pointers. By the end of the interview I literally was given the job..with multiple hints. Even was told that HR "should have my offer package ready". Then didn't hear back from them at all. Called and did a follow up....no call back.

Anyways: The manager was very nice and said I would receive a phone call after a week - I never did, but I'm not surprised because Home Depot did the same thing to me.

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Holyoke, MA Nov 2012 – Reviewed Nov 3, 2012
Interview Details – Manager allowed me to have an interview after submitting online application. He asked about how would I approach my team members being above them. He also asked how would I handle difficult situations. The biggest challenge he described was handling my team members if I got hired,I would have to get them motivated and make them do their assignments without being harsh. He loved me and my strong personality, saying I was responsible, mature and seemed like I could handle anything. I have prior experience working in customer service etc. Anyways, I thought I was totally going to get it.Untill dum dum dum........the HR manager wanted to interview me...but no, apparently my availability was not enough for them (and I had a lot of availiblity) That was just an excuse I believe. They probably wanted someone with more retail experience and a degree for that position who knows.
Interview Question – Tell me about a time you had to handle a difficult customer and how you handled it. Answer Question
Reason for Declining – They wanted a background check. I didn't get the supervisor position, but the nice manager who loved me said I could work as an associate. For me, 8$ an hour in retail, not worth it, and a background check? not for me.
