Interviewed Oct 2009 in Islandia, NY (took 6 weeks)
Many phone interviews, and in person interviews. Since most of the company sits at home offices globally it took some time for the interiview process to unfold. Very positive and engaging senior management which made the interview process a delight.

Interviewed May 2009 (took 4 weeks)
After weeks of phone interviews, with long gaps in between contacts, the company sent me to a final round of interviews at headquarters. I enjoyed multiple in-person interviews and very positive conversations, idea-sharing, and meeting several people who would be my co-workers. The enthusiasm and positive plans for the department gave a good feel. I was told to expect a good phone call in the next day or two. Three weeks later, after I sent multiple unanswered emails, made phone calls to all my contacts and left many unreturned messages, I finally caught an HR manager who let me know they filled the position with an internal candidate. It is understandable to go with an internal candidate. The shoddy notification method is, at best, disappointing and not up to a professional level. Positive interview experience, negative follow-up experience.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Southfield, MI (took a day)
Ask questions that I responsed and the recruiter felt I would be a great candidate for the position but the headcount was moved to Chicago, IL. The position and salary was just what I was looking for but the situation changed because I orginially applied for a Account Manager position which headcount was moved to Indiana...they shouldn't post position without being sure about the count situation ...very dishearting.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
The interviewer already had an opinion of me before I met him, which objectively was inaccurate. He gave those same opinions as the reason for not pursuing my application - I subsequently found out thay they hired a person they already had contact with, so the interview process was really just a check to make sure their identified candidate was reasonable.

Interviewed Apr 2010 (took a day)
I was approached by the company recruiter, after brief communication via email I was offered to come to the company for assessment testing. The assessment process itself lasted for about 4 hours. About an hour was spent presenting the company to the candidates, what it does and what the division that the people are applying to does. It was followed by a written skills test, over an hour and a half long, on general IT knowledge - programming in various languages (what a given program listing does, what is the use of feature X of language Y, etc.) algorithms, software design and testing etc. Then the 1:1 interview with the hiring manager - about half an hour to an hour. Consisted basically about my experience as listed on the CV. The organization of the assessment day was well done, the people were nice, great offices. The response from the company was also quick...an offer was made less than 5 working days from the assessment day.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Austin, TX (took a day)
I received an email from a recruiter requesting time to talk about my application, experience, etc. The recruiter called at the correct time and was not prepared for the interview. He put me on hold to look for my resume and once he found it seemed surprised by some of the information. He put me on hold again to look for a more detailed description of the ideal candidate. He asked very few questions. He said someone would be getting back to me - however, I couldn't imagine why and not surprisingly no one did call back.

Interviewed Dec 2008 in Petaluma, CA (took 2 days)
Just regular talk about the position and the work which I have done in the past. Not too technical, but just general questions about the type of work that I have done and my expertise. I met with the Director of Engineering, two of my potential co-workers, and then the VP of engineering.

Interviewed Jan 2009 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 months)
The interview process was lengthy and complex. Over a span of two months, I participated in a total of 12 telephone and in person interviews. It is highly recommended that the results of all interviews are presented to everyone in the hiring process to ensure a consistent impression.

Interviewed Jan 2008 in Hyderabad (India) (took 1+ week)
The interview was more of collaborated discussion than a one way conversation. The interviewer was very competent in the domain and was interested in my background and experiences. The questions revolved around the understanding of the domain, ITIL processes and experiences on handling of situations in the previous jobs.
