Interviewed Mar 2011 in Kansas City, MO (took 5 weeks)
The interview process was long, detailed, and comprehensive. I was interviewing for a newly forming team and CA needed to be certain they were getting the correct piece for the group. There were multiple phases of the interview process with varying lengths of time between each interview. 1. Phone interview with the team leader - This was a general, overarching technical and personal interview. 2. Phone interview with expert in my field - A technical representative within CA. 3. Phone interview with senior member of the team - non technical but directed toward team dynamics and directions 4. Phone interview with Vice President of the group. Personality and determining fit within the larger picture. 5. Flown out for face to face interview with Vice President and Senior team member. - Final determination of fit for team and to discuss roles in more detail. 6. Interview with Senior Vice President - An open connection to CA at a different level.
The process was long and thorough. They did due diligence in putting together the team.
Negotiation Details
The offer was very fair and favorable. The offer was as stated and there was not room for negotiating.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Background Check, a Skills Test, a Group/Panel Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Phone Interview.
