All of the interviews took place over the phone. CA is a distributed company and some of the people I interviewed with were in different cities, so this makes sense in one respect.

But I lived very close to one of CA's offices, and even interviews with people in that office were over the phone. This was very strange. So this was definitely a downside. Phone interviews are useful for screening but face to face interviews are important for evaluating a candidate. And the company should have been willing to fly me in to meet with senior people in offices that were far away.

Altogether, I think I went through 5-6 phone interviews. None of them were very rigorous - they all asked pretty typical interview questions.
