Interviewed Feb 2011 in Hyderabad (India) (took a day)
typical C++ interview. The first interview was technical. You can always predict C++ interview questions...so nothing new here. The interviewer was amazed that I knew what virtual inheritance is all about! The second interview was a "managerial" round. The manager shows up and asks if I liked doing maintenance and bug fixing. I said yes but it should only be one of my responsibilities. But they wanted someone who was 100% into maintenance, bug fixing and reverse engineering (don't be fooled by this word, it basically means "we have a lot of code but no documentation so you will have to figure out stuff all by your self.") One positive: the Hyderabad campus is a beauty, the facilities are top class and pay is good. If you are married and middle aged, this is the place to be!

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Framingham, MA (took 3 weeks)
Phone chat with the recruiter, followed by a mandatory on-line assessment (personality + iq). Then phone with the hiring manager, followed by 2 sets of group interviews 4-5 hours each. Quick decision making, no bull before, during, or after the interviews. Highly technical people, friendly, but thorough in probing your skills. Not a single idiotic question (sort of "...tell us why are you the best candidate?" - none of that), technical, no-nonsense. Very positive overall impression from the interviews.

Reason for Declining
25% what I read on this board, 30% feedback from former employees I know, 25% weakish benefits, sucky work environment and commute (remoting discouraged, yak...) The rest is - the job didn't sound too appealing to me either.

Interviewed Dec 2008 in Petaluma, CA (took 2 days)
Just regular talk about the position and the work which I have done in the past. Not too technical, but just general questions about the type of work that I have done and my expertise. I met with the Director of Engineering, two of my potential co-workers, and then the VP of engineering.
