Interviewed Nov 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took a day)
I submitted my resume on my college career website. They reviewed it and selected to give me a phone interview. After the phone interview, I was one of the 8 picked to fly up to San Francisco for panel interviews. The interview process took the entire day. First we began with breakfast and introductions, then I was given 2 1:1 interviews. We took a break for lunch then had a tour of the entire office building. After the tour, we had 2 more 1:1 interviews. I didn't get a response for 3 weeks, so I emailed the HR manager, who responded that they had moved on.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 2 weeks)
Toured the building, met the hiring manager for a one-on-one interview. Met the team for another one-on-one to talk about the specifics of the job. And then met the station manager. A lot of probing questions on experience, news judgment, the state of the industry. Very positive experience overall, very good culture.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took a day)
The interview process was very pleasant and professional and I enjoyed it! First I had a phone screen interview that lasted about 1-2 hours and then we moved to an in-person interview that lasted about 3 hours! It was pleasant and I really liked the Sr. VP of Engineering and we hit it off right form the beginning which helped! I would recommend this company to anyone!

You meet with the UI director and she gives you the lowdown on the job and looks at your portfolio. You are presented a skills test, designing an iPad app for one of their sites like metacritic. I would ask for the parameters because she likes to say "out of the box". That could mean anything, so I would get clarification. Then if they deem you worthy, you are giving a 1 or 2 day trial. The first day was cleaning up someone's banner ads, which is not in the job description. You are judged on being factory fast. People there are nice, but observing how the director interacts with other designers. It is her way or the highway, no room for your opinion here. Some people can be great designers, but are put in a director role and need to work on people skills.

General background information about the position and company. Asked why I though I was a good fit for the company. What are your strengths that you would bring to the company. What analytical experiences do you have? When was a time that you had to work with a person you did not get along with and how did it work out.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took a day)
Applied online an after three weeks got an email to come in for an interview. I was supposed to meet with four different sales managers. I went and first got interviewed by 2 managers at once and questions were fairly standard and based on fit questions. Then I was walked over to the third manager who was nice and also asked questions based on fit. When I was supposed to meet with the fourth manager, she was called into a meeting and I was left hanging. I was told it wouldn't affect me but I was still uneasy so I emailed one of the managers back to see what was going to happen. Almost two weeks later and still no reply. Very unprofessional.
