I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at CDI.

    Interview Details

Phone interview, and they found me on LinkedIn. Two interviews, and both were less than 30 minutes. Took about two weeks to hire me, excellent communication before offer. The senior recruiter I was going to work for and her boss interviewed me. Very professional, but had to change interview times, multiple times.

The interview process is about metrics and numbers. They are expecting a certain level. They want you to have 60 calls a day, 5 submittals a day. they actually dont care about the hires it is all about the subs

I interviewed online. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at CDI in October 2013.

    Interview Details

A recruiter from somewhere in the US will correspond with you, for about two weeks while he/she is also in contact with the client company. I had a phone interview and also an onsite interview. A human resources division in Arizona will have you go through an 'onboarding' process.

    Interview Questions
    • This will likely depend upon the client company that CDI has an agreement with. The CDI recruiter is typical of any staffing company and works to provide the initial match.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
The recruiter probably has a range of salary or hourly, e.g. $25-$32, to offer that has been given to them by the client company. Ask for this range and ask for the highest amount. With any staffing company, it should be noted that they are the middle man and will be taking a cut.

I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at CDI in January 2014.

    Interview Details

initially I was contacted by an HR Recruiter for a basic phone screen. Next, I set-up for an interview to meet with the IT Director, which seemed to go pretty well. That was follow-up with an interview with 7 or 8 different individuals at various levels within the IT Organization. This interview seemed to go fair from my perspective, but there was no follow-up or feedback about this interview and I did not get the position

Was contacted by their in-house recruiter. Answered a variety of standard interview questions. She was impressed by my answers. Told me I would be hearing from her. She never got back to me and ignored by email asking for status.

I interviewed through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ months - interviewed at CDI.

    Interview Details

Longer than normal indecision...typical process is 2 months. HR is incompetent. I was sent by a staffing agency because they have horrendous internal recruiting (which I learned later). Met everyone in my area...top to bottom...over the course of about a month. I was tendered a direct hire offer, gave notice, and was later informed I'd be brought on temp to perm. They did convert.

    Interview Questions
    Negotiation Details
They were extremely dishonest...after notifying my employer I was leaving, they changed employment to temp to perm at a lower salary. Get everything in writing.

    Application Details

I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 6 days - interviewed at CDI in May 2013.

    Interview Details

Interview set up with client. Some discussion with CDI, but all real interviewing done with client. Tech interview first, followed by general interview with group managers later. Both interviews by telephone. Very relaxed, friendly. Skills/experience/general knowledge discussed, but in an informal, friendly setting. Besides skill/knowledge questions, conversation ranged from office atmosphere (casual, not rigid) to dress code (very casual), hours (flexible), general tasks expected in the position.

    Interview Questions
    • No difficult or unexpected questions in either interview. All was professional, though fairly casual. Questions mostly covered technical skills and were thorough, but nobody asked any nit-picky esoteric questions in an attempt to trip me up, as occasionally happens in my field.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
No negotiation required. Hourly rate was presented at first contact and nothing else needed to be discussed.
