I was presented with an itinerary with meeting times for multiple members of the IT team. One of the engineers did not show up until the first phase was half over. Another engineers took half of the first phase checking and replying to e-mails on his Blackberry. His attention was obviously occupied by his Blackberry because he was oblivious to the fact that he was repeating questions. The second phase was with the manager of the engineering team. The manager was obviously very ill with some sort of cold or bronchitis and could barely speak but was very thorough in her questioning of technical, organizational, and behavioral aspects. During the third phase, the senior manager was very condescending and made it a point for me to know that I was wasting his time.
24 hours after the interview, I withdrew my candidacy.

The first step was to fill out online application. Three days after filling out the online application, I received an e-mail to take an online assessment test\survey. This survey takes at least 15 minutes to fill out. A week after taking the online assessment test\survey, I was contacted for a telephone interview. The time for the telephone interview was scheduled and confirmed.
The recruiter called late. The interview lasted 30 minutes. It was an easy interview compared to other interviews and the questions (they were the ones that are listed on this website) were pretty basic. At the end of the interview, I told the recruiter that I wasn’t interested.

Reason for Declining
1. The recruiter called me late. 2. The pay during the 'training program' was $ 12 per hour then your salary will be $ 25,000. The recruiter mentioned that there are two tests...one during the middle of training and one at the end of training. This statement made me to believe that you are not employee of CDW until you complete your training based upon the compensation schedule. 3. My current compensation is over $ 100,000 a year.
If you just graduated from college or been working for a year or two after college then it probably be a good opportunity. If you have experience, it will be hard to take a pay cut for at least a few years. I am sure that there are exceptions but it looks like that it will take an above average performer three to four years before you could make some serious money (i.e. $ 75,000 - $ 100,000; over $ 100,000).

I had applied to CDW as a result of my big interest in technology and the ability to develop my selling skills as well as a pretty good novice for selling. I had lots of problems with their assessment taking and once finally through, I finally got an email stating about a phone interview. No problem, we set up a time and a date and I was ready willing and able at the time. The interview took about 45 minutes with a lovely lady over the phone and I had personally thought that we were making connections and providing answers that were, to me, very good answers. Ideal answers people have told me were good answers to her questions. She was pleased, and stated that she'd get back to at a certain date. I waited.
Then, rejection. I don't get it. Everything I said, proved, illustrated, and talked about in the phone interview. It's an entry level position, how experienced am I supposed to be? I have a sales background, I am very interested in the position much more genuine than most. What is it? I have a college background, they hire college kids with little experience. What exactly are you looking for?

The interview process was a little long they could have had more group /panel folks versus individual interviews initially. After the lengthy interview process I was roped along only to find out that i had to inquire that the position was given to someone who was promoted from within. The common courtesy is to let your candidates know that the position was filled ....

They tried to get me to sign an offer and when i told them I wasn't ready they said they would only give me 24hrs. I felt too pressured.

Applied online through the company's website. This led to a short phone interview, followed by 2 in person interviews with a sales manager. A personality test was conducted in between the 2 interviews, the results of which were discussed, reviewed and questioned again at the second interview. Both interviews were behavioral based, with the first one having a phone simulation/situation to assess your communication skills over the phone.

I applied online and got called by a recruiter three days later. I had a phone interview with the recruiter an hour after he initially called me. We set up for an inperson interview with a sales account mananger. The Interviewer had an attitude. He felt that the recruiters did not understand the job of a sales account manager. He did not like anyone who did not have any sales experience.
