Interviewed Mar 2011 (took 6 days)
I was referred by an employee to the job. I posted an application and I believe it took 2 days to hear back. I was asked to come in for an interview with the HR manager. We discussed my desire for the job, what I believed made me qualified, and my ability to do the work (i.e. transportation, skills, etc.). About a day after that, I was asked to come back for a second interview with the manager of the department of the open position. We discussed the same things, I believe, although I was so nervous I've forgotten a majority of it. She was impressively professional but friendly as well. They were looking to hire right away, but I had a prior work obligation. They were willing to work around it. I was supposed to come in for a 3 interview with the operations manager, but due to a scheduling conflict, I was hired based on the second interviewers decision. The fact they were needing a person as soon as possible probably helped me get the job quickly, but I admire the fact that they worked with my schedule, too. And they gave me a chance- this was my first job in the field and although it's entry level work, they took a chance on me. Not sure if that's just the station or company policy, but it was nice to see compassion and trust at work in this economy.
