Interviewed Jan 2010 in Montreal, QC (Canada) (took 2 days)
It all starts with a 1-1 with an HR person who selected your CV based on keywords and essentially has no knowledge whatsoever of what your job looks like. Basically they will check your languages (English is always a requirement, also in QC-based positions) and if you may put the company to shame,
Next step is a real interview with a few directors, mostly unqualified for their role. If one of them likes how you answer the general questions you will be hired.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
Yes, I negotiated a salary increase from 92K to 98K. Vacations are non-negotiable.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Group/Panel Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 days)
Applied online from CGI career site. It was a consultancy role, long term for one of their clients in GTA. The recruiter was very professional but was pushy.May be because they had a hot requirement. I had one f2f interview with director and solutions architect and one phone interview with SVP (This was just a formality, as the director didnt wanted to take responsibility of recruitment).
--Interview Questions
- Majorly Behavioral -- Why you want to change your job? Describe your strengths? Are you okay with travel?
-Technical: Design patterns (Gang of Four), facade, MVC, factory. Interface vs abstract class
-- Team handling: How do you motivate people? How do you get your work done. How does onsite offshore model works.
Overall they were trying to check my capability to handle their team and client. Anyonw with good consulting experience will crack their interview.
The offer was given to same night at 10pm and they pretty much forced me to join.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
Offer declined because of travelling distance to their client location. And somewhere I didn't feel comfortable the way recruiter was pushing me. Their was something not good about it.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2+ weeks)
I got a call an email from HR asking me suitable time to have a telephonic conversation, then HR called me at the time fixed, he told me that he will forward my resume to the technical lead for further review. I got another call from HR asking me to fix a telephonic technical interview which was scheduled after 2 days. And then a third and personal interview was set with Directors mainly to understand my presentation skill and if I can get set in the company's culture. Then within hours I got verbal offer over telephone. Finally I received an offer letter in 2 days with 3 days time to confirm or reject.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Brampton, ON (Canada) (took a day)
I was informed it was a 1:1 interview. But when i reached two managers were interviewed me.the position was entry level and they rejected me saying that I don't have experiences. When I asked the Business card of the interviewer they said I can contact the recruiter consultant(HR).They didn't even bother to give a Business card.During the interview one interviewer was receiving phone calls constantly while the other interviewer was discussing with me.And one interviewer left the interview in between by instructing the other interviewer to ask my expected salary and conclude.I felt so ignored during the process.Even when i tried to follow-up after the interview with the HR,I barely get any response.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Mississauga, ON (Canada) (took a day)
Dell computers were looking for a data Centre facility manager. Two m,anagers from the U.S., N carolina and Texas phoned in and asked questions. Neither took the lead nor seemed to have any "Bahavioural interviewing" technique or experience. You could immediately tell that this was going to be a "Gut Instinct" interview. There was no structure, it seemed more like a tennis match.
