Interview Details – Applied for a programming job online. Got called back from HR. At first I couldn't call them back as they filter calls. You have to pick up when they call as number is not displayed. 1 interview with HR first followed by a written technical exam. This was followed by a technical interview on a different date. The HR interview was typical and not complicated (1 on 1). Written technical exam was not multiple choice and was meant to measure knowledge, it was easy.
Technical interview (1 on 1) was more difficult as it was more about experience and methodology. It was part verbal, part written (on white board).
Was every impressed by technical level of interviewer. HR people are very efficient and straight to the point.
Got an offer that was conditional on obtaining a mandate at client.
Interview Question – polymorphism, threading, error catching. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Did my research well before applying. Went with a number in my head and got it without negotiation. Could have probably asked more but was happy.
