The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CIBC in May 2009
Interview
One hour interview with the hiring manager. Typically quesions. Research about the company and product line would impress the interviewer.
Hiring manager also arranged follow-up meetings with the team.
There was a seperate phone interview with HR or Resourcing Consultant. It lasted half an hour. The difficult part was two or three behavior questions. You need to prepare from your experience beforehand.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Give me an example that you overcame a big obstacle to achieve your objective.
I was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn for a role they said I’d be perfect for. Went for the panel interview, and it was a strange experience, the questions, almost seem like they were not serious about me as candidate.
The process was easy and generally well-organized, with clear communication throughout. Candidates were informed that they would receive direct feedback from the hiring team rather than just an automated response. While some questions felt slightly irrelevant to the role, the overall experience remained smooth and straightforward
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CIBC (Kitchener, ON)
Interview
Screening interview. Was a good experience. They probably wanted someone real quick and I wasn't able to give them that. Otherwise it all went very well. Was held in a very amicable environment.
