Interviewed Apr 2009 in Detroit, MI (took a day)
My assignment was transferred from my old employer to CIBER. Basically, it was agreement on the terms of CIBER's offer to me. If I accepted I returned back to my assignment. Otherwise, my assignment at my account would end.

Interviewed Sep 2009 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 4 weeks)
It went on well. since, it was a walkin, I had to wait for a very long time. There were 2 HR rounds and 1 technical round. Interview process was fine, i got selected and they promised to send me the offer letter. But it took a while for the HR to send the offer letter finally.

I found the people to be a little unremarkable to be honest. I had to carry the conversation with most of the greeters, when it should have been the opposite. There were greeters for each of the different positions that were being interviewed so you could ask questions.

Interviewed Nov 2008 in Detroit, MI (took 6 weeks)
Very long and frustrating. The interviewer was not fully aware of what was going on at the contract site, and did not remain in contact during the hiring process. They have an odd benefits structure - be certain that the salary that they're offering includes benefits, or the ability to gain benefits.
Ciber is a headshop, plain and simple. The people, however, were very friendly and nice.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Wayne, PA (took 1+ week)
Started with an initial phone interview which consisted of discussing my background, and how / what Ciber does. Followed up a week later with a face to face interview with their internal human resources / recruiter specialist in the local office. Interview was quite detailed, and lasted about 30 minutes. The questions were targeted to see into and probe my background and skills to determine if I had enough recent experience that would be worthy of the position I was interviewing for. Many questions focused on the customer facing aspects of my skillset. Much of this could have been handled in a phone interview, but I suspect that they did this face to face so as to see how I phyically presented myself. This would make sense as they appear to be very customer focused, especially for new projects with new customers.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
Although I felt I had all the necessary skills for the position I was interviewing for, Ciber did not think the same. They were willing to offer me a lesser position where I could potentially work my way up to my desired role over time. Therefore, the position offered was not a good fit for what I was looking for. Unfortunately for me, the career timing was not right.
The good thing is that I felt very positive about Ciber after the interview. Ciber appears to have a good methodology for hiring the proper talent for their consulting jobs. (If I was their customer, I'd feel as if my project was in good hands.) They did impress me as an organization that I could be happy and proud to work for.
