The interviewers were not very nice. Most of the questions were fit, with very few technical ones. The actuaries work within different departments, including human resource, and health care product department.

I submitted my resume online then was contacted by the recruiter. We did a interview over the phone where she described the job and the requirements. I then explained how I fit into the job description. Next I was scheduled with a face to face interview with the manager over the department and an employee. The interview went well but Cigna decided to institute a freeze on internal hiring. Instead they hired outside the company to bring in those at a lower rate.

After I applied online, HR rep contact within 3 days, next day obtained panel interview appointment for a week later via email. Two team leaders interview, asked about previous work experience and followed by a set of psychological questions in how you handled customers and peers situations. Team leaders were nice and casual dressed. Waited one week to receive email from HR, no job offer.

Interview was a combination of phone and in-person. I actually had known my interviewer from a previous position within the company, so there was some comfort level there. Just the standard questions, nothing out of the ordinary.

I knew exactly what I wanted, and was in a good position because I really didn't dislike the job I was in, so it's not as if I "had" to take the job, so that gave me leverage.
I didn't budge, and I got what I wanted, which was reasonable.
