First interaction was with an individual from the department who visited the university where I was attending. About 1 week later I received a phone call asking to come to the office for a second interview. at the second interview I met with management and human resources for a total of 3 separate interviews that date. lunch was included with other staff auditors.

I took alot of resumes to the CBOT building and passed them out until I was able to secure a job with a trader in the S&P 500 futures pit. Not much volume takes place here anymore and it is tough to find a job unless you have a good connection.

I applied online for the position. I was initially contacted by the Recruiter through email and we scheduled a phone interview through email. The phone interview was a set of simple questions mainly dealing with my interests. Afterwards, an interview before a panel was scheduled. At this interview the questions were average interview questions. When done we viewed the trading floor. Some of the faults I believe I had was that I was not dressed properly, meaning no suit jacket. I also was overqualified for the position as I had a bachelor's and it required a high school degree. I believe they saw me as not being a permanent holder of the position and that is what was wanted.

First was the phone screen. Once you pass that, they will get in touch with you again for a panel interview.
1 or 2 managers plus a few leads will be asking some questions. Some are technical and some will just gauge your personality.

Applied through the university career site and was offered an on-campus interview. Interview was 1 on 1 but they had two managers from the company interviewing people separately. Started off by talking about the position a little bit, asked a few questions regarding my resume, and asked a couple simple behavioral questions. Was a nice guy doing the interview, thought it went well and mainly asked easy behavioral questions.

Very casual. It was more of a conversation than Q and A session. I had as much questions as they did. We discussed solutions about the challenges they were facing. They made me feel very comfortable and were very sincere.

I came across this QA position at the CME Group via a recruiter who I ran into at the Futures & Options Expo last week.
