Interviewed May 2011 in Dallas, TX (took 5 days)
This interview was for a position Corestaff was filling for their client. The office I worked with was the one off of LBJ.
A recruiter called and told me she found my resume on a job board. Described me a position and asked if I would be interested. I told her that I would like to find out more and have further discussion. She scheduled me for a phone screening.
After phone screening, she immediately scheduled me for a one-on-one interview at their office. She sent me an e-mail with very good directions to the office. So far, the impression was very good.
When I got there, there was nobody at the reception desk. Behind the desk is a big office with 5-6 desks behind a big see-through glass wall. I saw at least 4 people working there. It took a few minutes for one of them to come out to ask me who I was. No greeting, no introduction of her name. After I gave her my name, I told her that I was there to meet with YYYY for an appointment.
I was told to complete an application first. Their application process requires social security number, driver's license number, and year of graduation from high school along with other standard personal information and job history. I know they are necessary post offer for background investigation, and I am fine with that. But at this point, I did not even know the name of company I was interviewing for. I shared my concerns with the requirement and the person helping me became irritated. Several minutes later, another person came out. Asked me if I was XXXX. I asked her if she was YYYY. The people in this office never greeted me. We sat down for an interview - but at this point, I already knew they didn't like me.
