Customer Service Representative at CSC

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Coppell, TX Oct 2009 – Reviewed Feb 25, 2013

Interview Details – I was hired on as a subcontractor. The job listing did not include the company name. I then had a phone conversation with the recruiter who then set up an interview at the local CSC office.

The interview itself consisted of general personality questions, a role play of a customer problem scenario, and a relatively simple technical test to verify computer knowledge.

Interview Question – They presented the following scenario: a customer calls and reports that they had gone to lunch and the internet wasn't working when they returned. I was then required to go through the troubleshooting steps to determine that the user's modem had failed.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Negotiation was not possible, as I was hired on as a subcontractor.

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Prague (Czech Republic) – Reviewed Mar 2, 2013

Interview Details – There was one telephone interview with the hiring agency, and then one personal. Some people had assesment centre, but as I was coming from abroad, I didn't. On my interview there was standard type of questions, they asked about my previous experiences, about my motivations, why do I think I a good for this job, how flexible am I...nothing unexpected. They only got back to me after almost 1,5 month that they want me.

Interview Question – If you are busy working on project and your manager asked you to make a cup of tea, what will you do?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – I asked for a lot more than they could offer, so on the end they gave me the maximum what was planned for this position (some people got less) but it was still less than I wanted .
