Interviewed Feb 2012 in Phoenix, AZ (took 2 days)
I walked in multiple times because applying online didn't quite get anyone's attention. I had a similar problem with phone calls. I came into the store and simply hounded the manager until he saw I really did want the job. There wasn't technically an interview; he hired me based on my persistency and ability to talk to people well.

Interviewed May 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ (took a day)
There was a very high level of professionalism expect and shown forth. There was a range of basic personality/situational questions, as well as position-specific questions. There was an expectation to answer the question as if describing a process, so as to give an insight into how you would perform certain tasks.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Phoenix, AZ (took a day)
Began with a phone interview. The HR person was pleasant to speak with. We just discussed my background. Was invited for a one to one interview the next day. The in-person interview was with an experienced account manager who followed a script. The interview consisted of a description of the job and then some background and situational questions.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ (took 4+ weeks)
Interview process seemed to be longer than I have been used to. I had phone interview with staffing. Next phone interview was with hiring manager. Next was a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager and one of the team members. Next was a phone interview with the VP for the group. When I got the offer, next step was the background check. When that was complete, then had to go for drug test.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Phoenix, AZ (took 2 weeks)
I was referred by a former colleague so I got the interview easily. The phone interview, even though it was just for screening purposes, was tough. I find phone interviews to be more intimidating that face to face interviews were you can get body language feedback as to whether you are on track or not. The phone call was from their coporate office in Tx. The women was professional, however the 20 minute "lecture" on CVS Caremark was really not needed and made me feel uncomfortable. During this lecture or orientation, I tried to lighten the air by interjecting, which was not welcomed and I was just talked over as if not there. It was obvious that she is required to pump candidates with this information and just wanted to get through it without interruption. I'm not sure if others get this type of steam-roller introduction during the interview, but I would re-evaluate that if I were them; not a good way to start an interview. Several questions about how I handle projects and my knowledge of prescription plans was gone over, then I was told there were 10 positions available and the next step of the process was a personal 1:1 interview with the hiring manager. It's been two weeks now and I've heard nothing, which I would normally take as a bad sign exept my friend wrote and told me I did very well in the phone interview and the process is moving forward...REALLY? I've gotten no feedback and heard nothing. Most people would move on or have gotten another job by now. BTW I have had interveiws with 3 other companies in the mean time and expect an offer from one this week, yet don't even have an interview set up for Caremark CVS.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Scottsdale, AZ (took 3 weeks)
This was a lengthy interview process. First was a phone interview with HR, then a phone interview with the hiring manager, then a one on one with HR where I had to take an excel test, then a one on one with the hiring manger and then a panel interview consisting of managers, directors and the vice president of the division.

Interviewed May 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ (took 1+ week)
I applied online for this position after graduating from ASU and was contacted within a few days by an HR Recruiter for CVS Caremark. We scheduled the 1:1 interview a week to week and a half later due to my schedule. I met with the Director and Hiring Manager. There was no test that I took. They asked me pointed questions about my current position as an account manager and the fact that I wanted to transition into an analyst role. I also had reporting and data analysis experience in my current position that would fit nicely into their open analyst position, which is what I was looking for. I felt very comfortable with both individuals in the interview. They wer e very knowledgeable, explaind the open analyst role well and asked me if I had any questions. I highly recommend this company.

Interviewed May 2011 in Phoenix, AZ (took 3 weeks)
I went through the process of interviews that started with a phone interview, group interviews and interviews with a store manager who would be the trainer. Once I exposed my current income then the process shut down. The store manager had said the pay would not be near my current salary and that the store manager would call me back once the store manager found out what the pay would be. I never heard a word back from the store manager even after I had sent 2 emails to the store manager. I would say CVS has some opportunity on the way they follow through with interviews. I would also disagree with a store manager being in charge of any hiring and that CVS should have a district manager follow through on the hiring.
