Interviewed Apr 2012 in Warwick, RI (took 1 week)
I got an email rejecting me from the job, then I got a call from HR asking for some time. I was asked if I would relocate and then a checklist of skills. It was not an interview at all. I have not heard from Hiring manager or HR. It may be that I said I had no SAS experience.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Woonsocket, RI (took a day)
The recruiter interview was very general and more of a screening, determining my ability to relocate, travel, and work long hours. Tthe interview with hiring manager was more substantive and detailed, as specific questions were asked about my experience, current skills and future plans.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Woonsocket, RI (took 3 weeks)
I applied for the position through the CVS website . I got a call from an HR person who did the initial phone screen.
I was set up for a group panel interview the following week. I was interviews by 3 people and the questions for the most park were very basic performance based and pertaining to my resume.
The individuals interviewing me were very impressed with my achievements and I was told that their senior manager would be calling me next week , since she was traveling the week I was interviewing.
I then received an email from HR to fill out an online application and some other requirements. I was asked my salary expectations and given a number and if I was offered the job would I accept that number.
I agreed and I was asked to wait for the call of the señor manager.
The following week I received an email saying that I was no longer being considered for the position, Then someone called me and said to disregard the email and that the manager would call to interview me the next day .
After one hour of this call I got a call again saying that the department had decided to pursue a different direction for this position and that I would not be interviewed again.
This all seemed very strange, but oh well ..stuff happens.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Woonsocket, RI (took 2 days)
Initial phone interview. Standard stuff like why do what this position and how would you fit in this community. Had a real strong connection to the interviewee and she seemed to like me.
I was told to expect a follow up interview next week but that message never came. Follow up attempts were met with silence. Not even a rejection letter.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Woonsocket, RI (took 3 weeks)
Phone conversation with hiring manager followed by half day 1:1 with HR and the rest of the group. Scheduling in person interview required lots of flexibility on my part. Everyone was very nice, facilities new. Interview schedule and process neat and orderly.
I did feel that while I had all the requirements for the position I was more qualified than the highest ranking person I met with and would be teaching them. The department and division is very nurse dominant so if you don't have RN or NP after your name, don't bother to apply here. This makes them appear very rigid and unyielding to others opinions.
I was told I did not have the qualifications they were seeking but when I asked them directly for feedback they chose not to reply. In addition they changed the job title after I interviewed.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Woonsocket, RI (took 2 weeks)
This one is really weird and unprofessional. I was contacted by a CVS recruiter through my university that CVS was interested in my background and experience. She, a Senior Recruiter in Rhode Island, wanted me to reply if I was interested. So I did and scheduled a time with her for the interview. On the day of the interview, she missed it! I emailed her to find out what went on. To this, she said she forgot to put the time on her agenda and proposed another day. Another day passed and I got another cancellation. This time was from her colleague who informed that the interview must be postponed as the recruiter was sick. Her colleague left a number to call back, to which I called and left a message. Guess what, never heard anything back, even though I specifically left messages that needed responses. By this time, I was getting impatient. I sent the original recruiter an email to schedule a convenient time for the interview. Her reply didn't come until 3 days after my email. By the time she did, she set up another interview and on the day of the interview... missed again. No email, no other type of communications on both misses she made. I guess this one is not for me. I just think that it's very unprofessional for a recruiter, a senior one at that, to not even make an excuse for missing appointments.
Not bitter... just think that it is weird having this experience from a top Fortune company like CVS. You might say I learn a glimpse of the company's culture without ever speaking to an employee.

Interviewed Jan 2007 in East Providence, RI (took 5 days)
Interviews follow a script of situation and life experience based questions, followed by general Q&A and conversation based on the particular manager's style and needs. Process is different based on position, having interviewed for this company as well. I was interviewed by the Store Manager and had a follow up with another outgoing Store Manager that was still technically in-charge. For the front store you will sometimes just be interviewed by the Store Manager or but usually will be interviewed first by the Assistant Manager or as a group. Specialty positions (RX, Photo, Beauty) will usually have you interview with a department supervisor first or with the Store/Assistant Manager. Positive attention was payed to how I was dressed (shirt/tie and suit jacket) but emphasis will change with each Manager.
