Interviewed Jan 2012 (took a day)
I felt i was treated unfairly because i know i did great on the test bu they claimedi didn't get the score they were looking for.... which i felt was untrue. They waited until 9:20 to start because we were waiting for more people to show up and i was scheduled to be there at 9:00 so when I completed the first test they sent only me home and everyone else got the chance to continue on to the next test!! i felt very confused and singled out!!
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of an IQ/Intelligence Test, a Skills Test and a Personality Test.

Interviewed May 2009 in Jericho, NY (took 3 weeks)
I applied online. They called me within a few days. Interview process was one day, about 90 min of my time. I met with an HR person first to explain salary and other HR stuff - then I met with the supervisor of the dept I would be working for. I thought it went well, but i guess not.

Interviewed May 2011 in Melville, NY (took 5 weeks)
I applied 3 weeks before I was contacted. I was told to call an HR number and leave a message, it took about a week to hear back and I was given a phone interview. The interview was pretty short and basic; why do you want to work in customer service, why Cablevision, why did you leave your last job etc... and a basic explanation of what was expected if you were hired (varying shifts, at least 70 calls per shift, angry customers, work at least one weekend day). I was then scheduled for a skills test a week later. The test has 2 parts, you have to pass the first to take the second.
The first test had 4 sections; 2 "scenario" tests to see how well you work with coded information, how well you follow instructions and how well you can grasp a procedure. The first one was more difficult than the second, they're both timed. Then 2 personality tests. The second part started with a 30 minute timed program where you have to act as a customer service rep for 4 different companies and solve 4 different customer complaints. You have to be intuitive enough to use the company's operating system and know how to speak to the customer. It was fairly easy and kind of fun. Then there is a timed section for very basic math, they supply you with a calculator. Then there are 4 more personality tests. It took about an hr and a half total.
I was then scheduled for a recruiter interview the next day. It was about 10min long and consisted of questions where you had to give an example of a time something happened in a previous job. "Name a time when you had to break procedure", "Name a time when you couldn't make a customer happy" etc...
About another week later I was contacted for a final interview with a supervisor, the interview was scheduled for 2 weeks after the call. I have not gone on that interview yet.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took 2 days)
Upon passing both the personality and computer skill test, you get to meet with a recruiter who then asks you a few quick questions that one would have as an interview. If all goes well with the recruiter, you are asked to come back at a scheduled time to meet with a supervisor.Supervisor asked other interview questions, busy writing down the answer. No eye to eye contact.People there seem very young and lack professionalism.
