I had applied to Cadence through Campus recruitment procedure in my college in Delhi . The first round was written test which contains 1 hour aptitude and then 30 mins software test. After the shortlisting based on written test there was a technical interview. There was another shortlisting after first technical interview and then they conducted another technical and HR interview round . Finally they revealed the result after the entire procedure was over. Although I was selected at the moment others were told that result will be declared within two weeks.

Got interviewed by 8 people from FAE/R&D organizations. It went very well and the team was excited about their job and the products they are associated with. Very professional . 2 round of phone interviews each 45mts to 1hr long and then 6 1:1 interviews at company location.

what are tough technical issues from customers you faced and how did you solve?
what do you do in pre-sales if the feature req by customer is not supported..
lots of qns on pre-sales and deployment. scenarios
Negotiation Details
Cadence is very slow in negotiations and you have to be patient..the recruiters tend to bargain for every 500-700$ as well..not a lot of room to negotiate benefits/bonuses/stocks etc...base salary is pretty much you can neg...cadence has 4 shutdowns a yr totalling 4 weeks and you are only given 15 days a yr of vacation for in first 7 yrs...so try to see if you strike a deal with your manager prior to joining...also if your previous employers paid cell phone bills/internet etc , clarify them as they are not reimbursable by default and depends on grp directors budget...
