Interviewed May 2011 (took a day)
I was contacted by a phone call, to set up a phone interview for the next day. I then re-sent my updated resume, and I was contacted again to set up a in person interview instead of the phone interview. When preparing I looked up everything I could about them. I picked out things about the company that related to myself, which made the interview process easier for me. Advice, they are looking for enthusiastic people that have an internship experience already. My prior internship didn't relate to this one, they were more interested in my first job I had. Make sure to not sell yourself short on your resume. People in the office were really nice. The HR person was extremely nice, and tried to sell the position. The manager was more stiff, but nice as well. Head manager was really stern at first, but after the "interview" seemed over we just sat and had a conversation. Really great people, and work culture was unbelievably remarkable.

Negotiation Details
This was the best offer for an internship I have ever heard of. I had no complaints with anything. They told me what to expect, and I left my schedule open for this internship. If you are really looking to improve your resume, and professional experience by a lot, then there is no need to complain.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Apr 2008 in Lake Success, NY (took 2 days)
The program coordinator of the internship program contacted me via phone and was not able to pick up and was followed-up by an email. Since I was at school and was not able to do a in-person interview, they were able to do a telephone one. I seemed to pass that part so another day was scheduled to speak with my potential supervisor. The internship program wasn't really in the field I was going into (or was remotely knowledgeable in), but both the program director as well was my potential supervisor reassured me that I would be fine as well as answering a lot of my questions about what I would exactly be doing. Since it's a Japanese company, there was a diverse group. Everyone was friendly and willing to help you.
