Interviewed Aug 2010 in Mumbai (India) (took a day)
It was by far the most negative, unprofessional and distasteful interview that i ever had.
Had received a call on a particular Monday, from an HR in Bangalore stating that my Cv has been shortlisted and i would be required to come down to their office on Saturday.
On Friday afternoon, I got a call form the Mumbai HR saying that the interview has been cancelled.
However, at around 4 in the evening, i got a mail from some other HR in Mumbai that the interview is very well scheduled on Saturday and that i am required to drop by with certain documents.
But, this doesn't ends here, I again got a call from the Bangalore guy saying that the interview has been cancelled.
And at 7in the evening, i had a cal from some HR guy in Mumbai saying that i have the interview scheduled on Saturday.
I already had developed a bad notion about Capgemini, by this time. However, i decided to give the interview a shot as I was pretty confident.
I reached Capgemini office on saturday at around 11 am. There were around 45+ guys who were called.
The panel consists of 2 people.
TIll 4:30 , they had completed the first round of interviews for only 3 guys.
And, we where neither asked to take a cofffe break or for lunch.
After 4:30 the panel brushed through the remaining 42+ candidates, and the interview for the entire lot was finished before 6, with a maximum of 5 minutes for each candidates.
After this, it was declared that no one was selected as the profiles didn't match.
If the profiles didn't match, why did they call us at the first place.
Wasn't there a screening process in place over here, before ppl are called for the interview.
And the most disgusting part is when asked on which technologies they were looking for; they said that they were looking for .NET 3.5 professionals with expereince in WCF, WPF, etc.
And there were more than 25 candidates who had proper hands-on expericnec in this technologies(including me).
On further questioning, they said that they wanted ppl to be experinced in MOSS, SSRS, SSIS too....And lo ! there were people experienced in that too.
Candidated were then agitated and stormed out of the office.
Overall, A very bad experience.
By far the most unprofessional company i have come across.
Pathetic.
I don't have words for such disugsting people.

Interviewed May 2010 in Mumbai (India) (took 2+ weeks)
The HR team co-ordinated wenl and the process took longer than expected. Negotations were done on designation as well as salary, but not considered. Instead they offered me a joining bonus to get away from the approvals of the process. Decent 32-40% hike is what you can expect.
