Interviewed Sep 2011 in Los Angeles, CA (took 3 weeks)
I had a brief phone interview with a recruiter first and the following week had my first round of interviews w/two managers and the recruiter. I was called back for another round of interviews the following week w/three more people from the web production team, including the senior manager. Everyone was very friendly and professional from start to finish. The interviews were an hour long each. There is a very collegial atmosphere. It is very corporate, which is a plus in my book. The culture emphasizes collaboration, accountability and integrity.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Irvine, CA (took 2 weeks)
I received a call from an initial recruiter for a phone interview. After that i was brought in to meet with the recruiter for a 1-on-1 interview. It was an informal meeting in which the recruiter assess your interest in the position and asks you about your resume. After that I met with both the senior manager and manager. That interview was more formal as they ask you specific questions that require you to recall specific examples from your work history, school projects, classes, and so forth. It's not a very daunting process, though it may seem like it. I thought I did very well in all of my interviews, yet I was offered no job.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Los Angeles, CA (took a day)
I gave one of the recruiters my resume at a job fair on campus and HR contacted me a couple of weeks later with an invitation to sign up for an interview on my university's on campus recruiting system.
The interview was two on one and consisted primarily of behavioral questions. Expect your interviewers to poke and prod at your answers with follow up questions if you don't sound like you know what you're talking about.
Interviewers seem genuinely passionate about the company. A trend I noticed in their people was a tendency towards being very careful and conservative with the things they say, which reflects the company's culture.
The only negative aspect of the interview was that they didn't bother to notify me that I wouldn't be chosen for a second round interview. I would interview for them again.

Interviewed Jul 2008 in Irvine, CA (took 3 days)
I found my experience to be different than most. Most people I found had very long drawn out interviews that seemed to take forever. I'm not sure of the value of such interviews, but I found many of the people at CG to be outstanding. That being said, after a few phone interviews, I had one all day interview and was offered the position.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Irvine, CA (took a day)
An external recruiter arranged a telephone interview the hr specialist recruiter. The HR specialist was pleasant and efficient. Most of the questions were in the situation, tactics, action result format, with a heavy emphasis on resume review. Although she asked technical questions, her follow-up conversation indicated that she was not technically proficient enough to understand. This made me think that she was listening for a list of key words, or timing my answers. The interview also lasted exactly 30 minutes: the scheduled time slot. My external recruiter told me that "project experience was not exactly what they were looking for" but she was "a cultural fit."
My take, a large company with this many recruiters and this few jobs to fill needs to spend a lot of time interviewing, without necessarily hiring. At least they only wasted my time on the phone, not driving also.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Irvine, CA (took a day)
I only got to the initial telephone interview. The recruiter had specific questions for me. It's almost like a shopping list of questions. As soon as it was evident to her that I didn't have the required experience, the interview was over. She had asked me if I had questions for her. I asked them but it had no positive effect on advancing me to the next stage.
As I've been told previously, Cap Group is very selective in its process. Very few get hired.
