Interviewed Apr 2012 in Richmond, VA (took 2 months)
Got contacted by a hiring agent after applying on the company website to take a IQ test. Passed that and was contacted again for a phone interview. The turn around time was fast. The phone interview is mostly technical questions as it is for a quantitative position. Make sure to know your basic statistical concepts like mean, standard deviation, etc... Also, make sure you know linear regression concepts. The interviewer was very nice and seemed very laid back.

Interviewed Apr 2012 in Richmond, VA (took 4+ weeks)
The process started with a recruiter phone interviewing me. About a week later I got an interview with the technical guys (one which was the hiring manager). After about a week I was asked to come to Richmond and do a series of interviews which were very easy. They ask what have you done in this situation, etc. Remember this is about what you did and not other people. Make sure you have a couple of stories ready to go before doing the interview day. After the interviews I was told that I didnt have enough experience, but they may offer me another position in the later months.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Richmond, VA (took 1+ week)
First I was contacted by an HR representative by telephone. He was very cordial and explained that they thought I was a good candidate for the position, and that they would like me to complete a telephone interview, some online forms for basic information, and an online personality assessment.
After taking most of the questionnaires, I was told that I was highly competitive and would now complete my personality assessment. It seemed identical to the Myers-Brigg type tests. Afterward, the same rep called and told me that they were no longer moving forward with my application. I was not very upset about this, and I asked if he was authorized to explain the types of personalities that they would normally accept. He said that it didn't necessarily have anything to do with my personality, but it was clear that this was why I was not asked in for a personal interview.
At the time I had a friend working for Capital One, who told me that each employee has their personality information available at their desks, and that managers will occasionally come and look over it before speaking to you. A bit strange, but perhaps an effective management tool.

On the cases it is definitely worth your time to take your time. Think things through because I eventually got the right answers but only after prodding from the interviewer.
