I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks – interviewed at Capstone Turbine (Chatsworth, CA) in January 2015.
Six 30 minute interviews scheduled with HR, three Product Managers, Customer Service and Sales and Marketing.
Interviews were basically conversational. Office environment was hectic and interview times and personnel changed throughout the day.
I was notified an offer would be presented within a week of the interview. The actual offer arrived after a background and reference check.
- What do you know about Capstone Turbines and what is your motivation for joining the company? Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks – interviewed at Capstone Turbine (Chatsworth, CA) in October 2010.
I noticed the position of Application Engineer posted on the website for Capstone Turbine Corporation and in the process completed the application within a few minutes. About a month later I was then contacted by the HR group and then asked to fill out the typical online forms and verifications. Then no response for several weeks but that’s standard operating procedure until I was then contracted to set up the phone interview.
I received the call at the specified time by two members of the engineering department and off we went. In the process of the interview I was informed of the position along with the responsibilities which I would have no trouble of performing the task. What I found strange is that this position was titled as Application Engineer and in reality was nothing more than a Technical Representative. All of the engineering on the product along with the applications is completed so therefore all you are doing was merely performing verifications of the installations. Or you are verifying the proposed application the products will go in to for future use. No real follow up interview by the HR staff just a dear john letter and that was about it.
