It was excellent, and personable. This is a great company to work for, but it is large, and you are a number. They offer some good additional benefits, but the primary benefits are lacking. Health Insurance is very high, 401K not matched, and the standard is a 35 hour work week, so this further reduces your vacation and personal time.

Negotiation Details
I did not negotiate, however I found out later that I should have. All in all though, I think CWT was extremely fair with their offer, and a good company to work for.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Minneapolis, MN (took a day)
I had a screening phone interview with a nice HR rep, asking very general, typical questions. Meeting with my interviewer was an absolute pleasure. The position was filled internally, I found out later, but the interviewer was very friendly, honest, and candid. The whole interview felt more like a conversation between two friends than a typical interview.
The Carlson HQ is a beautiful campus...a bit too suburban for my tastes, but many people would probably like it. Lots of manicured gardens, fountains, marble, glass...but inside is very much Corporate America cube-land.
