Accepted Offer – Reviewed May 13, 2013 New

Interview Details – After applying 6 times, finally received a call back. Received a phone call from them saying they were hiring people but didn't like my schedule, then changed and said they wanted an interview. The interview was quick and unprofessional. Waited in the theatre for 30 minutes before I was taken in the party room sat down and just asked if I had my drivers license and social security on me. Small questions on where I worked prior and why I left and then said they only hire at 7.25 no exception

Negotiation Details – Weren't allowed to negotiate. Instead it was this is what we pay all employees, asked since I had long history of experience for a higher start they said no.

Concession at Carmike Cinemas

No Offer – Interviewed in Missoula, MT – Reviewed Mar 15, 2013

Interview Details – About a month after I applied online, they called to schedule me into a group interview. I was given 2 choices for times for the interview. The lady on the phone was really rude about it when I said I was worried about being late for either time because of my class schedule. I told her I would attend the 3:00.
I showed up for the interview roughly 15 minutes early, and I was the first one there. As more people started showing up, I noticed something. I was the ONLY girl there! So when we went into the office for the interview, I felt really outnumbered. They asked what our favorite and least favorite movies were, and why our least favorite was our least favorite. After that, they told us to act like they weren't even there, and talk about customer service, and what keeps people coming back to the movies. After a while, they asked for examples of when you have had to deal with a difficult customer.
After that discussion, they opened for questions and we all asked about wages, what the job would entail, scheduling, and dress code. My suggestion is that, if you have a nose ring, wear a retainer, or take it out, for the interview. After a ton of questions, we were told we would hear something within the next few days (it was a Wednesday) after they did their next interview.
I didn't hear anything, so I waited until Tuesday to call, thinking maybe they needed extra time to make decisions. When I called, the lady was extremely rude to me, simply said "we're not moving you on," and hung up on me before I even had an opportunity to thank them for interviewing me. All-in-all, I feel discriminated against because I was the only female they interviewed at that interview, and I feel mistreated. I would not apply with this company again.

Interview Question – What is an example of excellent customer service you have seen in our theater?   Answer Question

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Mobile, AL – Reviewed Jan 20, 2013

Interview Details – You show up early for an interview like you are supposed to. You are then told to wait in lobby. After about 1.5 to 2 hours you are then taken upstairs with a small group. No official interview takes place. Manager does all the talking while you sit and listen listen listen listen listen. You leave an hour after the talk. They basically hire everyone.

Interview Question – The most unexpected thing is that there is no interview. This shows that they do not care who they hire.   Answer Question

Reason for Declining – I found out that you are never ever allowed any days of the weekend off.

The interview is all about confidence. Remain calm and show confidence in your answers.

The job is NOT hard. I repeat the job is NOT hard.

The job is so easy that employees feel they are underpaid (they do not feel they are being paid for what they are worth).

ATTENTION: You are high school students, This may be your first job so do not take yourself seriously. Take what you can get and be happy.
