Interviewed Apr 2011 in Oakville, ON (Canada) (took 3 months)
I applied to the company and was contacted by HR within a few days to schedule for a first round interview. First round interview was a 30-minute phone interview with some very basic screening questions such as why you want to join their firm, why you're interested in consulting, what you know about the firm and some basic questions about your resume and experience.
I followed up with HR a week later and was told that they wanted to bring me in for a second round. I was told that HR was trying to schedule a time when a partner was in the office and was told she would contact me once she had a date.
I didn't hear from HR for several weeks and contacted on my own. Again I was told that they were trying to schedule a time when a partner was in the office and was told I would hear from them soon.
After 2 months from my first round interview I was contacted via email for a second round face-to-face interview. The second round interview was with both a partner of the firm and HR (at the same time) and last about 45 minutes. Again they went over my resume and experience and asked some basic behavioural questions. Before leaving, I was reminded that Carpedia's hires based on needs and openings and at the moment they were still sorting out future projects and assessing their needs. I was told HR would continue to follow up with me regarding the possibility of joining their firm.
I waited almost 2 months and still didn't hear anything from HR after my last round of interview. I decided to email them to find out what the situation was, even if they didn't feel like I was a fit. Never got a response so I'm assuming they didn't think I was a good fit.
Their interview process is NOT like typical consulting firms where they get back to you within a day or two to let you know how you did and if they will process you to the next round.
Both the HR and partner that I met in person seemed friendly and easy to get along with. I have doubts about the company's culture since consultants are expected to be on client's site Monday to Friday (fly out Sunday night) so not sure how often you get to network amongst peers and management within the office.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Oakville, ON (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
Was referred by a friend who knows one of the partners. Had a phone interview and had another with someone more senior at the office in Oakville. The office location is a bit strange, situated in a suburb of Toronto. Right on the lake, quite lovely, but it's also remote: nowhere near Bay St! As for the culture, it seemed slightly more positive than some of the other implementation firms. I received an offer in the mail a few days later. The whole process was very straightforward, and if you've got some experience under your belt, you'll find it quite simple to ace the interviews.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2+ months)
I applied on Carpedia's website. I was contacted within 48 hours for a first round telephone interview with human resources. The interview was behavior based. She was extremely nice and it made the interview process easy. I was told on the spot that I would advance to second round. 6 weeks later I had second round with a few partners at the HQ. The interview was rushed because they tried to fit this interview in an hour time slot. All the questions were behavior base. My advice to candidates is to not mention a spouse in the interview as they obviously foresee that as being a problem with the extensive travel and practice behavior. 3 weeks after the second round I was contacted and told the company is on a hiring freeze. I have a feeling that I just wasn’t the right candidate and I would rather them tell me that than string me along.
