Interviewed Dec 2011 in Morton, IL (took 7+ weeks)
Had initial interview at career fair, phone interview, then traditional on-site interview (flew in the night before, dinner with other students, then panel interview the next day). With every person I talked to, it was all about the S.T.A.R. Method. I was corrected when I didn't answer my questions in that format, and could tell they were organizing and ranking their notes on each part of the method. (all behavioral questions--tough). They also emphasized safety a lot. Interview day was 1 hour panel interview, tour around the offices, then drug test. Really enjoyed the dinner with the early professionals on the night before the interview.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took a day)
I initially applied through my university's career website and was offered an interview on campus. The interview consisted of 2 people interviewing me at once. They alternated questions, which mainly consisted of behavioral type STAR questions. One of the interviewers was an actual worker (not HR person) who had interns in the past.
Some questions included:
-How did you motivate someone in a group who did not want to do the "grunt work"?
-Describe a time where you did something and failed. How did you fix/overcome it?
-Describe a time where you took leadership of a group.
-What is your best skill?

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Peoria, IL (took 4 weeks)
I got an email for the phone interview. Later, they asked me (paid for) for onsite interview for 1 entire day. There were 3 interviews with 3 managers of the same department. No HR interview. I thought, everything was good. I did not hear from them for next 3 weeks. I enquired them and found that they have selected someone else.

Interviewed May 2008 (took 2 weeks)
Applied online, was contacted after about a month. Went to the interview at 11am. There were three interviewers interviewing for 3 hours. I found one of the interviewers who claimed to be the senior manager to be quite clueless about the job. The other two younger guys were fine. They had a standard set of questions and all of them basically repeat the same questions, so after a while it gets quite exhausting repeating the same answers over and over again.
There were absolutely no technical questions, questions were very similar to the ones in some of the interviewing books.
