Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
The recruiter 1st interviewed me over the phone, pretty standard stuff. I've got to say for having a recruiting department, their support was lacking. I then had an in person interview with the 2 managers looking for an Assistant. They seemed like really nice people, but I got the sense that the workload was too much and the environment was too corporate for me.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
Too corporate and have since seen the same positions advertised months later, which tells me people don't stay.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Englewood, CO (took 5 weeks)
Multiple phone interviews with recruiter, manager, various application groups, and directors. Company is relatively thorough, including background checks, reference checks, and drug test. Interview process takes a very long time given the number of people you'll need to interview with, and the recruiters are very busy, so check in with the recruiters often to keep things moving. Make them aware if you have other offers pending, as they will likely be slower to move than anyone else you're interviewing with.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
I applied for the position online and was contacted through email about an interview about a month later. After a week i was contacted to set up the interview date then about three days later i had a interview. The interview was very easy she basically gave me a tour of the facility and told me about the company and what my job role would be. She only asked two or three very easy questions and that was it. I was told i would be contacted by the end of the day if I got the job but was never contacted.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took a day)
I was contacted by an HR assistant via email regarding an Executive Assistant position I applied for and was invited to interview with one of the three executives I would be assisting. The interview lasted approximately one-half hour and was very informal. I wasn't able to get a good feel for the office environment, other than it was very quiet, but the executive I met with was very pleasant and I felt it would be a good place to be employed.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Englewood, CO (took 6 weeks)
I started out with a phone screen by the recruiter at CHI. I then got a phone screen with a member of the team I would be a member of. Once I passed those phases, I was was then set up to come in for a half day marathon interview session with multiple directors (within the EPMO). It was scheduled for 2 hours, but they handed me a new schedule when I got there that was extended to 4 hours (no consideration of my time and simply said if I didn't want the job I could leave). Once I got through this round of interviews they left me hanging for weeks. Finally, got a second round of multiple interviews (same thing - 4 hours with basically the same people). Then waited several weeks and was finally made an offer.
During this process I was asked for examples of work and presentations I had put together. From what I can tell, they didn't actually look at any of it, but I did have to provide it.

Negotiation Details
I did not negotiate anything. I told them my salary history and they made me an offer on $$. They made it seem like nothing was negotiable, it was more a take it or leave it type deal.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Basically I was a place holder for them to state they had interviewed others for the position. This was a phone interview with three people -- 2 with CHI and the other with the local health system. The interview lasted less than 15 minutes over the phone with the one of the three explaining, bluntly, the position, with no real room for questions or comments. Basically reading a job description. There were about 4 questions total about my prior experience (they had a resume for another position I had applied for over a year ago, so they thought there were discrepancies when in fact I had some life changes -- to their better benefit). Needless to say, the one who did all the explaining asked the few questions they had, and at the end asked if I had any questions. I went on further to explain my background because they really didn't ask anything pertinent about my prior experience and what it entailed and what I could bring to the position. Needless to say, when I had to go into expressing my interest, desire and background it was brushed off.
My feeling is that they are being overly particular. The position is posted again. But they wasted my time and it was very apparent they were not interested -- it came off as rude. I don't particularly care working for organizations who behave in such a manner.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Denver, CO (took 2 weeks)
Two disappointing observations:
1/ The two director level individuals I interviewed with were unorganized, unprofessional and unprepared and incompetent. The interview (we had a conference bridge set up) was a cluster. One director did not have the conference bridge number despite the fact that it was sent to all parties in an outlook invitation. While I was waiting on the conference bridge my call waiting beeped in with one director (she said she could not find the conference bridge number). I thought I was talking with a child that lost her lunch money. The other director did not show until the out time was about out. Basic professionalism and personal responsibility was nonexistent. These two individuals and their boss should be embarrassed.
2/ There were very anti-men and it seemed to me there were much more interested in hiring a a female. As a healthcare employee this discrimination again a men seems to be excepted and celebrated.
There are many reasons that explain the cause of the current healthcare crisis. The lack of accountability and professionalism of many healthcare employees plays a big role in this crisis.
