Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 3 weeks)
Was contacted by a recruiter and scheduled a 20 minute phone interview. After the phone interview I was later contacted for 1:1 interview with the recruiter. Interview consisted of basic get to know you questions, he was very nice and personable. A few days later, recruiter called me to schedule another 1:1 interview with the regional director. Interview consisted of similar questions, get to know you and what you can contribute. He then told me at the end of the interview he will be making their decisions within the week. A week later was offered position pending background check and drug test.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 1+ week)
I applied for the Cellular Sales Position via Linkedin. I was called within a few days by a recruiter for a brief phone interview. I was scheduled for a face-to-face interview that same week. The focus of the second interview was asking questions like: What is your greatest achievement? Describe your least favorite boss and favorite boss?, etc . . . They made it a point to tell me how thorough their hiring process is, and that it is a big achievement to get offered a position. They focus on telling you how great the pay is and they are not looking for a people just happy to get a paycheck. They sell you on the unlimited income potential. They also are very proud of how fast their company has grown. Most of the questions are standard interview questions. I was given a 3rd interview with the head recruiter for the state. He was very to the point. Asking why he should hire me over other candidates, What income was I looking to make?, Am I teachable? It almost felt like he was making me earn an opportunity to get hired by him. He let me know he was the "manager" for the state. They don't have any true managers only recruiters and sales reps. In my state, which was a new one for them, they had a bare bones staff. A few recruiters and a few back office people, plus the reps working the kiosks. They talk about the high integrity of their company, and how well they service their customers.

Negotiation Details
There was no negotiation phase. It is a straight commission position, though you are guaranteed a minium of $10.82 an hour for the time you work a kiosk. They tell you up front you will not have a position long if you are not doing well over the minimum in sales.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 3 weeks)
Cellular Sales (Verizon Wireless)
They prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
**Stand up company that hires stand up people with good customer service skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
1. I met face to face with recruiting personnel and handed them my polished resume printed on 100% cotton paper to help set my self apart.
2. I was contacted a week later and set up a 1 on 1 (45 minute) phone interview.
3. On an agreed upon date and time phone interview took place.
4. Contacted again and set up 1 on 1 face to face interview.
5. Drove to a specified Cellular Sales location and 1 on 1 interview took place and lasted about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
6. If you make it this far then you are doing good!
7. Received email couple days later and took a timed 10 minute mathematics comprehension test as well as a hour long personality assesment.
8. Was contacted for a third and final interview 1 on 1 face to face. Set up a date and time. This interview lasted about an hour.
9. Job was offered at the end of the third interview.
10. Before you are officially hired you must pass a background check and also urine drug test and once this is passed then Cellular Sales contacts you back and gives your further instruction.
I hope this interview review helps everyone out there looking to join the Cellular Sales team.
Good luck!

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
I met a recruiter at a career fair. I gave her my resume and also applied online. About a week later, one of the recruiters reached out to me. She asked me some basic questions, then scheduled a phone interview. A few days later, I had a phone interview with one of the senior sales representatives. She asked me some questions about my background, my experience and my understanding of Cellular Sales. I also got the opportunity to ask her questions about the opportunity. I was very impressed at the fact that she did advertising sales for 30 years and was with this company for 5 years and this is the best company she has ever been apart of. About a week later, the administrative assistant of the Regional Director in my area reached out to me to schedule an interview. The day of the interview, about 2 hours before the interview, I received a call that the interview had to be rescheduled. Interview was rescheduled for a week later due to the travel schedule of the RD. Finally had the interview. Was asked a number of questions related to my background, but also a lot of behavior type questions as well. I was able to ask questions as well. The Regional Director suggested that I check out the store. I checked out the store, met some of the reps and was able to ask them questions. One of the reps said he was with the company for 10 years. I then had to take a IQ test as well as a personality test online. A week later, after completing the assessment and not hearing back from them, I contacted the Regional Director regarding next steps. A day later, one of the lead reps and trainers from the store reached out to me to get my ID information. Then Snelling (the company you work for during training) reached out to me to fill out paperwork and schedule a drug test. Took the drug test the next day. They called me back the following day said I passed and offered me the position. I accepted. A couple of days later the lead rep called me with my start date. Other than my interview getting rescheduled and having to do a little follow up, I was very impressed with the overall company and the people. The leaders seemed great. The reps seemed very happy to be there. I'm very excited about working with this company.

Negotiation Details
There is no negotiation. You get $10 a hour for the first month while you are in training. Then once you start, you get paid straight commission. You basically share in most of the commissions that come in the store and anything you bring in on your own, you don't have to share. There are also certain types of products within the store that you don't have to share commissions on if you sell as well. Average rep earns $55,000 a year. Top reps earn six figures.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Richmond, VA (took 1+ week)
I got a phone call and decided to meet with the recruiter. She was very nice, but painted too rosy of a picture. She said that 80% of their sales staff was hitting their quotas per month. In reality, it's more like 40%.
After my interview, I had a drug test. Once I passed the drug test I waited two days and then got a call from the recruiter. She said they were extending me an offer and I accepted it.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I was contacted via email about an opportunity with Cellular Sales. I was asked to call to find out more information. I called and went through a screening type phone interview. After that interview it was explained to me that they would definitely be sending me to the next round and I would hear from them in a week or so. I was contacted to schedule the in person interview which I was told that it would be combined because the Regional Manager was in town so he would go ahead and do his part as well. I interviewed in a panel type interview by two individuals. I was asked very sales type questions like What makes you a good salesperson? If you had to describe yourself in three words what three words would they be? Why should they hire me? Then I was asked a series of questions in reference to my previous work history. The two individuals that interviewed me seemed like they really hated asking me those questions but they had to. It was actually pretty funny how many times they said, "GREAT ANSWER". It almost became redundant after a an hour and a half. After that tedious round of questioning I was asked to wait out on the sales floor then I was approached by the supposed Regional Manager. He came off extremely arrogant, shady, and skeptical; however, it was a great interview for me as he offered me the job. I was offered $10 during training and then 100% commission thereafter. I was asked to contact a staffing agency for the rest of the process. You are an employee of theirs before you are actually working for cellular sales because after training you pretty much "OWN YOUR OWN BUSINESS"
