Interviewed Aug 2010 in Tampa, FL (took 3 days)
Originally screened by recruiter, then Sr. Mgr, then in-person panel, then phone interview with Director---total of 4 interview sessions.
At the end of this I received a form letter indicating that I lacked the experience they were looking for--similar to those you receive upon initial screening. A little disheartening. Did it take them that many sessions to discover that? I felt that I didn't even rate a more tailored rejection letter.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Chicago, IL (took 2 months)
First expect to go through the process and then not hear back for a month. Afterward follow up is tedious because no one returns calls just an occasional email.
I got an offer but turned it down after reading the reviews here and checking up on the Company. It prompted me to do a little research on Ceridian and I am glad I did.
This is what I found from my friends that work there. No Communication from management (could explain the tedious follow up), New Product Roll-out is a joke. Entire sales force operating at a fraction of quota.
But the best part is that I found out that Ceridian Corporate Debt was downgraded to the lower recesses of "Junk Bond" Status recently to B-. I also found out that this company is owned by a venture capital company that is looking for ways to save money for obvious reasons as their cost of cash just increased.
The Company's management is disorganized in my opinion which is evident by the interview process.
I was told that if you have short term plans and Ceridian can provide you more than your current situation then i should go for it.. I would expect with the current down grading of Corporate debt to be a harbinger of a round of layoffs. As a salesman with experience in these matters if a prospect doesn't return your calls then get's bad news about their negative financial situation splattered all over the internet just prior to calling you back to sell for them, then you are just asking for trouble. I thought why make a short stint at Ceridian the topic of future interviews? These are the kinds of situations that screw up a good sales track record: Work for a company like Ceridian that is owned by a VC, whose sales are off dramatically, whose product roll outs are lame, and whose' debt has been downgraded to a point where your prospects suspect your company is not going to be there in the future and you have a recipe for disaster in my opinion.
I feel that my experience with Ceridian and after talking with current and former employees of the Company who begged me not to go there, I feel I made the right choice and "Just said No."
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
Debt Rating Downgrade, Bad Employee reviews, and overall feeling that they were either going to get bought out, purge employees, or go out of business. Even friends of mine that work at Ceridian had nothing good to say about the company. I guess you could say that Ceridian didn't survive my background check.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 2 weeks)
The person I interviewed with turned me off from the position pretty quickly. It was clear that she had someone in the position that she didn't like for whatever reason, and she wanted to make sure that the person she was hiring was willing to go above and beyond. While I am the type of person who goes above and beyond, the manager over this position made it sound as if the team I would be leading was a team that had limited resources, was overworked, and she wanted this person to pick up the slack so she could get rid of the current team lead. The questions mostly revolved around how to actually process the work and making sure someone would come in, be able to process, and work as many hours as necessary to get it all done. Overall, not good vibes about the company or work culture.

I was interviewing for a position that would have been a step down from where I currently am, so it wasn't going work out in my favor.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Los Angeles, CA (took 2 months)
Multiple phone calls over 6 weeks followed up with in person interviews in Minneapolis, Interviews were personality- and experienced-based. All questions were consistent, but not repetitive. HR folks were friendly and forthcoming, and the Sr. Executives I met with were mixed. All were bright people, but they seemed very harried and a little scattered. I think that was due more to their schedule rather than their typical personalities.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 2 weeks)
quick response to application -- hr person very organized, personable and helpful. Somewhat surprised to be asked in for interview, as my expertise skews away from what they needed.
Standard interview questions from hiring manager -- nothing memorable. Got the impression that position might very greatly depending on hired person's capabilities and interests -- not a real strong sense of what the position was other than "flexible team player" willing to change focus at will. Strong interest in previous healthcare experience. But just no click for me.
Beautiful offices, amenities, good benefits.

Interviewed Mar 2008 (took 4+ weeks)
Two phone interviews:
One from the Ceridian recruiter who read off a script and the second with a district manager.
One in person interview with the person who would become my boss. They had an open house where you actually went to the location you would work at. Nothing special, no group interview or anything like that. Looking back, I should have gone with my first impression and declined the offer as they were very misleading about a lot of things:
1. The Job Description: On the actual ad, the position was listed a Business Analyst for their implementation team. However, after we were hired; we found out that they had combined the role with another position (meaning more work) and that we were now implementation consultants. This was incredibly dishonest as I negotiated my salary based on the expectation that my role would only be of a Business Analyst.
2. Paid Time Off Blackout: They never told anyone this (I actually found this out through a current employee) but Ceridian enforces a Paid Time Off Blackout from the first week of December through Martin Luther King Weekend. During this time, you are not to take vacation. If I knew this I would've rejected the job as well.
Negotiation Details
A pain in the butt. They started off with a really lousy offer but I ended up getting more after saying that I had previous experience in this role and an advanced degree.
I tried to get some non-monetary benefits (such as flexible scheduling, etc) but they gave me half-assed answers saying that it was up to your manager if you could get that. I would say, if you negotiate anything, get it in writing. Also, I highly recommend reading up on the company. If I had done more research I wouldn't have even considered working here.

Interviewed Sep 2009 (took a day)
Recruiter asked stilted questions, read off an email, mostly pertaining to whether I was currently doing this exact job, in this exact industry, with this exact product. I have called on the same types of clients, with the same types of products, but not in the last 7 years. Apparantly that's not what they want.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in Saint Petersburg, FL (took 5 weeks)
Received an email from a recruiter approximately 30 days after applying on the company website for a screening interview. Per the recruiter a secondary phone interview will be conducted if they decide I am one of the top candidates for the position. If you pass the second round of interviews, a face to face interview will be scheduled.
