Interviewed Jun 2009 in Cambridge, MA (took a day)
I was so impressed with the technical abilities of the staff and the management. The environment seemed fairly laid back, but a highly competent group working on some extremely interesting projects. Draper seems very different than the typical commercial environment-- people are very well grounded in their fundamentals and they value academic knowledge and skills. The projects are low-volume and very specific, yet involve tremendous thought, brain power, and skill. It would be my dream to work here.

Reason for Declining
Getting into Cambridge every morning from the suburbs is a truly awful experience, considering that many other opportunities exist with better pay, minimal commute, and better health insurance. I would have overlooked the pay and health insurance issues if I did not have to spend 1.5 hours in traffic every morning for no good reason.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, a Presentation, a Drug Test and a Background Check.
