Interviewed May 2010 (took a day)
I went in store to pick up an application and was told to bring it back the following Tuesday for a group interview. The manager took us outside the store and told us about the company. She told us that we must be available on weekends, but that she would alternate who worked weekends each week. She told us we could expect a call back for a second interview with the other manager if she thought we'd be a good fit. She took us aside one by one and either told us to return to the store, or thanks for coming, we'll call within a week. Those of us who went back to the store were actually surprised with a 2nd interview right then and there. We had to pick out an outfit for a given occasion (mine was graduation party). After that the manager asked us some questions such as what's the difference between selling and customer service. Really laid back and fun interview.

interview was pretty easy ..the store manager just asked basic interview questions like why i wanted to work there? who was my favorite designer? what are are my favorite trends and which do i dislike. mostly general questions..after i got hired i had to do some paperwork and took about a day or two of training learning about the store and their policy..pretty simple

Interviewed May 2010 in Roanoke, VA (took a day)
I was interviewed by a store manager from a sister store in our district. She asked me several questions about how I would handle different difficult situations as well as what I would bring to the company. She was very nice and put me at ease. It was informal in dress.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in Cerritos, CA (took 2 days)
You will be in a group interview with 3 other people. They give a little information about how the store runs so you can make the decision whether that job is right for you. Then they will give you different senarios and ask you what you would do in that situation. And last, they will ask why you would like to work at Charlotte Russe and how would they benifit from hiring you. They will call you within 3 days to tell you whether you were hired or not. My advice is to dress really trendy, speak loud and clear, and smile!

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 5 days)
I had an interview with for an alayst position with a Charlotte Russe recruiter. Because the position was entry level, the questions were very behavioral/personality in nature. She was interested in knowing why I wanted to make the leap from hospitality to fashion, and how my MBA might make me a better candidate. The woman was very nice and did most of the talking about all of the wonderful changes that are happening within the company.

Negotiation Details
Towards the end of the conversation she asked what my salary requirements were , although she claimed to be unaware of exactly what the budget allotted for. She said she would discuss my quote with her boss and then get back to me before conducting the final interview. She called this morning so I suppose my salary requirement wasnt too outlandish. I did not get the feeling there was room for negotiation here.

Really, really quick. They must have been desparate for people to work there. I was hired on the spot.
