    Senior Level Analyst Position Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Charter Communications.

    Interview Details

Initially applied online. Got a call from HR a couple of weeks later, set me up for a face to face around three weeks after that. Had a face to face with hiring manager and another person from corporate. Had another call with corporate, asked me some easy questions about my knowledge of accounting. Flown in to corporate HQ to have some more interviews.

Over three weeks later they called me to claim that they hired internally.

    Interview Questions
    • Nothing difficult, just a long and drawn out process. Feels like a waste of time and energy in retrospect. Wish they could have been quicker to tell me they had already hired someone else for the position. If you don't hear back in a few days assume that you didn't get it and move on.   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Charter Communications in July 2013.

    Interview Details

Networked via a friend to hiring manager. Initial phone screen was typical stuff. Salary and on target earnings seemed a little low, but whent through process to see where it would lead. As part of questions, asked how many being interviewed and how quick to hire and it sounded like they were going to "cattle call" in the final 7-8 candidates in one day and make decision based on that. Wanted to hire ASAP, which makes me think they had someone leave and need to repalce ASAP

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Charter Communications in June 2013.

    Interview Details

Apply online very simple process. Automated email acknowledging receipt of information almost immediately. They called roughly 2 weeks after application to schedule phone interview, then reached initial phone interview to establish if I would move on in the process. That was followed by an email to schedule a "live" interview with the same person that did phone interview. I did not move on in the process but he indicated that there would be another interview with the next position up or HR depending on availability.

    Dispatcher Interview

I applied in-person. The process took 2+ weeksinterviewed at Charter Communications.

    Interview Details

When I was hired, I had 4 interviews with the supervisory staff and a group interview with my actual supervisor and the dept. head and Highest Mgr. on-site. It was a time consuming process but they made sure I was going to be a good fit with their existing staff plus be an asset coming in to their team. Like most places they asked questions about your previous employment and wanted to know why you left or were leaving them and how long you worked their.

    Interview Questions
    • I had to answer for three jobs that I had a short duration of work history, it was because I was in school and could only work short hours and I had moved across the USA with my Family. So just be aware of duration spent with previous employers and know what to say and explain yourself in detail. This isn't a subject they take Lightly because they are going to spend lots of money training you and they want you to stay with them a long time. Its a career choice not a job.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
There was no negotiation phase they offer you great pay, benefits, and 2 weeks off vacation starting day one.

    Project Manager II Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Greenwood Village, CO
Anonymous Interview Candidate in Greenwood Village, CO
    Application Details

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Charter Communications in March 2013.

    Interview Details

I was informed of this position by a recruiter. My first step was for the recruiter to submit my information for the job. Once they reviewed it, they had the recruiter call me in for an interview. My first interview consisted of 2 30 minute discussions with different people. After this, I was called back for a second interview. This inteview was in front of a panel of 3 people. These 3 were the two I had interviewed with previously plus one more who would be a peer if hired. I had an offer two days after the panel interview.

    Interview Questions
    • The most unexpected question was a business case scenario. They presented me with an issue that had actually happened a few weeks earlier and asked me not to solve it, but rather to walk them through the steps I would take to solve it. They wanted to understand my thought processes and how I would approach issues and work through them.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
I did not attempt to negotiate as they offered me more than I was initially submitted for.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Charter Communications in February 2013.

    Interview Details

I had a half hour phone interview today, which caught me off guard as I was not expecting anyone to call. It's Friday at 6:00 pm and I thought when I answered that Charter was just letting me know that they received my application I sent 2 days ago. She was really friendly and put me at ease with her easy-going personality. I was asked several questions about a different set of scenarios that happen on jobs such as 'How would you de-escalate an angry customer'? How have you gone the extra mile for your customer? Also there were tech questions about such as 'What does a modem do'? What is a router?--I had to look up what a router was AFTER the phone call because I wasnt sure what one was. Biggest mistake i made in call was NOT asking questions when she asked if I had any!-However,, I didnt know she was going to call. Next step is an online assessment, which after reading these negative reviews on Charter here on Glass,,, uuuuhhhhh I dont know!!!
