Interviewed May 2010 (took a day)
You are asked typical STAR interview questions. After the first interview, if they like you, they usually will conduct a second interview on the spot. This interview consists of a book in which they essentially give you a personality test. They will give you a score and you must pass it in order to be awarded an offer. It is very easy to pass. Make sure that you tell them you've always seen yourself in the hospitality industry because you have that outgoing personality.

Negotiation Details
They will hire you based on the needs of the restaurant. Usually, it is a transitional job, so not much negotiation need be done.
Other Details

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Fairfax, VA (took a day)
I walked in and asked for an application. I was told if I waited I could talk to a manager on the spot. After handing in my application the manager on duty told me that the hiring manager for the hostesses wasn't working at that time, so he invited me to come back the next day for an official interview. After about five minutes I could tell that the manager wasn't interested in me. He explained that he had to ask me these weird questions where my answers had to range from something like.... less likely to most likely. It was weird and he didn't ask me any questions about myself or how I would enhance this job position. Overall it was a waste of time.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Sugar Land, TX (took a day)
I first walked in and asked the Hostess if they were hiring. She replied that they were, and then handed me an application and said to sit in the bar area and fill it out. I filled it out completely and then handed it to her, and she went back to get the manager for a 1:1 interview. He was a young looking man, maybe in his late 20s or early 30s. After the initial greeting and handshake, we went to a booth in the corner of the bar area where I had been sitting. He asked me very standard interview questions, and I answered them very promptly, maintaining excellent eye contact. He did seem impressed, and told me he would forward my information to the general manager and he would give me a call within the next few days. I called back twice and eventually was told, flat out, that they didn't have a position available. HOWEVER, I do have a very good friend of mine who just recently graduated from University of Houston and became a manager at another Cheesecake Factory location here in Houston. I asked him over the phone his opinion and he did say that there are certain things Cheesecake Facotry will automatically not hire you for saying in the interview. He did say specifically that when asked why you wish to work for The Cheesecake Factory, ANY MENTION OF MONEY IS AN AUTOMATIC NOT HIRE. He also said that if you are told they will call you to schedule a second interview, rather than setting you up for a specific time to return right there, then it's called a courtesy decline, meaning you did not get an offer at that time but they would still like you to return as a customer so they very respectfully tell you no.

Interviewed Jun 2009 (took 3 weeks)
It was a very tedious interview process. I got positive results in all the 10 senior level interviews I underwent. Final result - they decided to change the requirements! And what's truly amazing is until now (after 2 years) they haven't filled that position yet. My guess - they have no intention of filling it out in the first place.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Jacksonville, FL (took 1 week)
Walked in and filled out an application on a Monday or Tuesday (only days they accept apps). Had a screening interview about the hours available and whether or not I had experience. Was immediately interviewed by a Sr Mgr and asked a patterned interview with behavioral type questions.
I then was sent to a closed section where I took a personality test. After the test I was given an appointment to speak with the GM for a final interview a couple days later.
