They'll ask you to take a "quiz" which is basically a personality test. Basically unless you're a moron or just a really unlikable person, you will pass. A manager will then come out and ask you questions similar to any other interview for a server position. They'll want to know expanded versions of three things, "Can you do the job?", "Do you want to do the job?", and "Can I tolerate you?". Answer these for yourself before hand and you'll get hired anywhere (not just The Cheescake Factory).

Negotiation Details
There isn't one. The first three weeks consist of training, buying stuff for the job and eating a ton of food that will make you gain weight. You will be poor - but then you'll start actually working and bank when a family of 5 comes in and has no idea about the portion sizes.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Background Check, a Personality Test, a Skills Test and an IQ/Intelligence Test.

You are asked typical STAR interview questions. After the first interview, if they like you, they usually will conduct a second interview on the spot. This interview consists of a book in which they essentially give you a personality test. They will give you a score and you must pass it in order to be awarded an offer. It is very easy to pass. Make sure that you tell them you've always seen yourself in the hospitality industry because you have that outgoing personality.

They will hire you based on the needs of the restaurant. Usually, it is a transitional job, so not much negotiation need be done.

I walked in filled out an application and waited for a manager to interview me. she asked me a set of questions then another manager was called to interview me directly after and ask about my scheduling needs. they did not seem friendly. just talk about teamwork and serving guest as you would like to be served and they will love it.

Walked in and filled out an application on a Monday or Tuesday (only days they accept apps). Had a screening interview about the hours available and whether or not I had experience. Was immediately interviewed by a Sr Mgr and asked a patterned interview with behavioral type questions.
I then was sent to a closed section where I took a personality test. After the test I was given an appointment to speak with the GM for a final interview a couple days later.

It is required to fill out an application in the restaurant. Typically you will go through 2-3 interviews, final one being with the general manager. We get 100's of applications a month so it's important to be persistent, but don't be a pest. Be open, honest, and direct with your answers.

I came in and talked with a manager to fill out an application. I returned to turn in the application. The next day I was called to have an interview. I interviewed with one of the store managers first, then interviewed with the store's general manager a few days later. I was offered a job that day.

I started out by applying at the Restaurant. I got a call back a few days later from one of the managers to come in for an interview. I interviewed with a mid-level manager who went through a lengthy personality test. Because I had experience (at least 6 months) serving before and did well in the interview and personality test, I got an interview with the general manager. I came in for the interview with the GM a few days later which consisted of some follow up questions and a job offer.

There were no negotiations. There are about 100 people that apply for this job for every one person that gets hired. Don't try to negotiate - they know that their requirements will be fine for someone!
