Interviewed Feb 2012 (took 3 weeks)
Submitted resume/cover letter through university recruiting website. After posting had closed, was contacted via email to schedule interview for the following week.
Interview was at university career center with a long-time employee. One-on-One, mainly behavioral questions: give me an example of when you did X... That sort of thing. Very professional, interviewer was relaxed and friendly but direct, took notes on all my answers. Never met a recruiter, just the interviewer.

Negotiation Details
Didn't negotiate since it's an undergraduate (junior year) internship. Compensation is more than fair for a non-engineering position, and one of the highest I've heard of for similar positions.
Other Details
I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 3 days)
I met with a recruiter at a career fair and was phoned to set up an interview a few days later. My interviewer was an alumni, and thus he simply passed the recorded interview to the HR team. They asked about general team experiences with very little focus on specific knowledge.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 2 days)
I spoke to a represenative for Chevron during my school Carerer Fair. I supplied them with my resume and they scheduled an on-campus interview. I passed that interview and received a call to fly their headquarters in New Orleans. I went through two rounds of interviews. The interviews were not that technical but I believe I was not fully prepared. Good Luck...

Interviewed Feb 2011 in San Ramon, CA (took a day)
I originally met with a Chevron rep at a career fair at my school. We discussed the internship program and I gave him my resume. I applied for an interview that night and got one. The interview was held on campus and consisted of two people from Chevron and myself. We discussed times when I exhibited leadership and the rest of the standard questions. What really threw me off was the fact that they actually asked me accounting questions, which I was not expecting. The interview was the toughest of the ones that I had, but it was a good experience. The people from Chevron were really nice and they even gave me a Chevron car that is also a USB.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 3 days)
The first interview with chevron was a behavioral interview. Their objective is to know how you perform as a leader and a team player in different scenarios.
The second interview is more as a technical interview. They ask you about previous experience and technical questions. They want to know how much you know.
