Interviewed Apr 2009 (took a day)
I was interviewed with a group of 5 other people and there was a board of 3 interviewers. They asked several questions concerning transportating patients and how would you treat them in different scenarios. The interviewers were very polite except one lady who gave everyone a mean look after every question that was answered.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Seattle, WA (took a day)
Manager wasn't even present for the interview. The two girls who interviewed me were younger and seemed nice enough. They said they would make a decision in a week but then NEVER called me again. I left a VM to follow up and still never got a call back. I was a intern at another unit at Children's and to not even get a stock rejection email or letter is completely unprofessional (and hurtful) in my opinion. The interview itself was pretty easy (name a time you made a mistake and what did you do to fix it, etc.). I just don't appreciate at all that they never bothered to let me know that I didn't get the job, especially since I actually turned down another job offer just so I could interview there. Overall I was disappointed in the way this was handled.

Unless your resume catches the interviewer's eye in 10 seconds it's over, you're done. So the big question is how do I catch the interviewer's eye? Here comes the best advice on how to get a job interview you'll ever get. Cater your resume to the job description!!! I can't stress this point enough. It's imperative that you cater your resume to each position you apply for. And I mean taking each line on the job description and writing a line on your resume to reflect your experience with regard to that line.
Yes, it takes more time than sending the same resume to 100's of jobs, but you're far better off applying to a fraction of those jobs with a resume specifically written for each job. Put yourself in the interviewer's shoes. Their job is to hire the most qualified candidate. They've been given a set of qualifications to look for: aka the job description, and that's exactly what they're after, so give it to them!
